OMG is all I can say! My husband and I loved this place. We were visiting Oklahoma from Las Vegas with family and found it on Google before we came. When you arrive, it is in the small shopping center next to the donut shop. If you are driving too fast, you will miss it. When you walk in, it is small, but there were several people eating inside as well as waiting on to go orders, which is a good sign. I love the sign they have up about the restaurant being referred to on Anthony Bourdain's show before he passed away. That was very educational about the plight of the Laotian population and gives you a sense of gratitude. Both times we went, the customer service was amazing!
I ordered the Pad Se Ew with tofu. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the tofu was not soggy, and the vegetables were fresh. You can get it made with meat, vegetables, or tofu and chose your spice level. I prefer it hot and got a 4. My father and step mother went a few nights later and got it with chicken and is still talking about it 2 weeks later! My husband ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. Although I do not eat shrimp, it smelled Heavenly and looked fresh. I must say, their presentation even for to go orders was impeccable! We also ordered tofu spring rolls with the peanut sauce and they were absolutely delicious (I will admit I used every drop of the sauce). We will definitely be back to Oklahoma...
Read moreSo I first discovered Four J's 5 months ago. Their Tom yum is to die for perfectly seasoned with all the dressings of a homemade soup made with love and expertise. The fried rice is amazing; the rice isn't over done and still holds that light texture I personally love, the vegetables aren't overcooked and bland in fact I dare say they are done perfectly, and which ever meat you get (I've had every combination) it is also done to perfection. This last vist I went on a Saturday and was fortunate to have the Sai ua. H O L Y S M O K E S this is to die for! The sausage has a unique flavor solely unlike any I've ever had. The cabbage is a perfect subtle crunch (yes it's cooked) as well as the green beans and broccoli. The steamed rice is a perfect side for this dish but honestly any rice will be perfect. The wait is more than worth the wait but while you are waiting get a tai tea! The cook (if she isn't busy) may even come and speak to you and she is an absolute delight! She os the only cook and is more than open to anything you might have to say about her delicious food! I will most...
Read moreThis is a small restaurant in a somewhat seedy locality. The interiors are sober yet pleasing to the eye. None of that kitschy Asian music playing when we were visiting, so that's a plus. We were waited upon by a pleasant couple , and learnt later that those two run this place by themselves with no additional wait or kitchen staff, which is nothing short of amazing. The husband waits, the wife cooks. Speaking of the food - outstanding! Be ready to leave with a heavy belly, because the portions are enormous and just the right taste so you can't stop eating. Food is prepared with your desired level of spiciness on a 1-5 scale. Soups may be served with a small burner under what looks like a traditional aluminium dish to keep the food warm, which is an interesting touch. Special mention for the Thai iced tea and cold coffee - very refreshing. Good service and short wait times. The food is also very reasonably priced. There's a lunch buffet as well, and understandably, it may get quite busy at lunch. All in all, worth revisiting multiple times and highly...
