Han Jan is a fantastic spot for Korean street food, and I had the chance to try their ramen and army stew. The ramen was rich and flavorful, with perfectly chewy noodles and a delicious, savory broth. The army stew was hearty, packed with sausages, kimchi, and tofu, delivering a perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavors. Both dishes were filling and expertly prepared, making the meal deeply satisfying.
The restaurant had a cozy vibe, capturing the essence of Korean street food culture. The dishes arrived hot and fresh, and it was clear a lot of care went into each one. The fusion of flavors in the food was incredible and left me excited to try more of the menu.
The highlight of the evening, beyond the food, was our server, Steven. He was not only cute but also incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. His charm and knowledge of the menu made the experience even better, and I’ll definitely be back for both the food and the...
Read moreThe waitress told me the chef was sick the day I came so I'll take her word at face value. I ordered the pot stickers and buddaejjigae, hard to mess up on pot stickers so they came out fine, tasted like any other frozen pack of pot stickers you'd find at an Asian grocery store or Walmart. The buddaejjigae, on the other hand, was abysmal. It reminded me of the spam and noodles I'd make back in my college dorm room when all I had access to was a microwave. The dish was entirely too soupy so all the other flavors were washed out, they even forgot to add the noodles the first time they brought it out, but by the time the noodles were added and cooked, the eggs had become overcooked and spongy and the other ingredients had lost all their flavor. Hard to imagine the reservist chef had made any Korean food prior to this buddaejjigae. Would have much rather tipped the waitress $30 and made sure none of the check ever reached the...
Read moreI wish I had photos of the food and atmosphere once things picked up, because this place ended up being a fantastic night. The whole staff was unbelievably friendly to us and continued to check in on us, even after our food was taken care on. It felt like they wanted us to hang out instead of trying to rush us out which was a great feeling.
When we got there, it was fairly empty, but as the night rolled on the place picked up. There are lots of tvs and they kept putting on unique music videos and even took requests. Really fun time. Looking forward to this place growing to see what it becomes.
Here's hoping they add a small karaoke area in the corner. Seems like it would be perfect for this kind of place, since it has lots of space and crazy lighting.
Would recommened for some quick food tries as well as iust a place to hang...
