If you walk in and don't see a young man waiting tables please do yourself a favor and just walk out. He is the only one that can actually wait tables. He keeps your drink full and the food actually comes to the table hot. it seems all the other wait staff put your food in the fridge before bringing it to you. The most important fact is I don't get overcharged for my meal. I order the bakers dozen every time i come in. 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon 3 sausage links, 3 biscuits and gravy. it comes with hashbrowns. 13 total items to make up the bakers dozen. so tonight when tracy charged me an extra 2.49 for a side of meat that i didn't get nor should i have had to pay for. instead of saying oh I'm sorry i might have made a mistake she instantly starts to blame the gentleman that has only ever provided me with exceptional service. eluding to someone else's ignorance when you don't even know the menu well enough to actually put prices on the ticket is beyond absurd. I understand you guys are the only place open between norman and nw23rd street on i35 overnight but that doesn't mean we have to put up with horrible service and cold food. One update… I am happy to report that the extra tip charge did not go through…. The rest of the review remains. Red flags from the start. First seeming bad element hovering in parking lot, next it smelled of cigarette smoke badly when I walked in. I didn’t notice the can heater on the floor near the entry till I was leaving. The heater was not working the place was dirty, restroom was nasty, and blocked by another can heater. I ignored it as I’d already ordered. I received my open face beef sandwich and it looked large at first, then I realized the two, 1/8 inch or thinner slices of dry looking beef were on top of thick sliced (Texas toast thickness) bread… not even toasted. The fries that came with it were the best part of the whole experience and they were just okay. Then when the charge showed up on my bank account I see the tip portion on j my account pending twice. I called the restaurant and the guy that answered spoke clear English when he said yes to being asked if he was the manager. When I told him the issue, then he suddenly had a very thick indistinguishable accent and told me to call tomorrow because he was just covering for the manager due to weather issues. The food is awesome. The people are awesome. But tonight i had a bad experiance. I dont know if this waitress was new to the job or if she was just ready to clock out but she never turned in my order or returned with my change or anything. I sat there for an hr before I was able to get my order in line for a to go order. If it wasnt for the other waitresses my order would have not been turned in. I left out a lot of detail in my review but if that waitress is there when i show up i will just leave and come back some other time. Tonight is the first time i never gave a tip for the person waiting on me. I feel bad for not tipping but that was very bad service. I always give five bucks for a to go order and i try to not be that annoying customer that usually shows up at a greasy spoon restaurant that i do love going to. Anyways thats my review.
