Iâm very disappointed in my experience at this location. Iâve had Neighborhood Jam at other spots and have always been impressed with the food, so I was excited when one opened closer to home.
I placed a curbside pickup order, which was supposed to be ready at 9:18. We arrived a few minutes after and notified them we were in the parking lot. After waiting a while with no updates, I called the restaurant. I understand they can be busyâI donât mind waitingâbut I just wanted to know what to expect. The person on the phone told me it would be brought out as soon as it was ready. After more than 30 minutes waiting in the parking lot, I was getting really hungry and decided to go inside. As soon as I did, someone brought the order out to me immediately. When I got home (less than a minute away), it was obvious the food had been sitting out for a while. It wasnât fresh, and we had to reheat everything.
I donât understand why curbside is offered if thereâs no system in place to actually bring the food out. Iâve worked in restaurantsâI know things get hectic and takeout may not be a priorityâbut if the food had been hot and fresh when I went inside, I wouldnât have minded the wait. Whatâs frustrating is knowing my food was ready and just sitting there while I waited in the car, with no communication. It made me feel like my time was not valued. I really hope this was just a...
Read moreMy husband and I visited around 8am on a Thursday. They werenât super busy, but we were sat all the way in the back away from pretty much everyone else. It wouldnât have been a huge deal, except we were next to a wait staff POS system and 4-5 staff members were congregated there discussing their personal lives for the duration of our meal. We heard every word and felt like we were in the employee break room. The food was just okay. We ordered the scratch biscuits, chicken tinga tacos, sweet potato griddle cakes and a whiskey pig pancake. The biscuits were honestly the best partâŠthough the jalapeño peach jam is notably missing any jalapeño flavor or kick. The tacos were okay, sweet potato cakes nothing special, the pancake had the weirdest chewy/rubbery texture and was way too sweet for us and everything was a little on the cold side. The waitress forgot one of our drinks but we werenât charged for it so we said nothing. Overall this place is just okay. The newness of the establishment and staff shows. Itâs like they are still trying to get into a flow. The food isnât bad but it definitely isnât worth the price...
Read moreToday was my first time here, I was not impressed. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, but doesn't really have a comfortable feel to it. More of a yuppie/hipster type of atmosphere, if that's your thing. The food selections are unusual and non traditional, like the creme brulee pancakes, key lime cakes, various bennies, etc. They only had one breakfast option with a 3 ounce miniature steak (which is no steak at all, IMO). I had to order a la carte just to get eggs, bacon and hashbrowns.
Service was mediocre, but the staff was polite, at least.
The food quality was below average, IMO. Eggs were bland, very little flavor, bacon was cold and rubbery. Hash browns looked and tasted like they were popped out of an Ore Ida bag and microwaved, also cold and extremely tough and chewy. I tried the Sam Elliot coffee for $6, which was pretty decent.
Overall, I give this place a thumbs down, but for all you "trendy, hip and edgy" people who care more about having a "cool" atmosphere to hang out in rather than the quality of food or the price, this will probably be fine for you. I tried it, but I won't...
