A few days ago I left four stars without an actual review (it was late and I was exhausted) but I decided this place deserved better so here it is.
Patty Wagon is my current favorite burger joint in and around OKC. I've tried many of the others (still a few on my list) and they rank anywhere from average to good but Patty Wagon makes it to my short of list of "very good". The burgers are excellent for a couple reasons. The buns they use are unique to Patty Wagon as far as I know and they are awesome. Seriously, the buns really add to the flavor of the burger instead of just being burger handles like most places. They have a good variety of burgers on the menu as well as the ability to build your own. During the holidays they had a burger with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy on it. It was AWESOME!! I hope it's something they bring back every year because YUM!!
The only issue I've ever had with them was occasionally getting an overcooked patty that was a little dry but it's only happened a couple times and it wasn't enough for me to ask for it being remade. They tend to go a little light on the sauce for their burgers in my opinion but that's really personal preference and they are always more than happy to bring you more sauce if you want it. I do wish they would put mustard bottles on the tables with the ketchup though, I'm not sure why they don't but they will bring you little cups of it if you ask (three different kinds even).
Just about every burger joint I've been to has been quick to mention how good their fries are but they rarely make the grade to me. French fries are one of those subjective things so it really comes down to how you like them. Me, I like soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. This seems to be a difficult task for most places but not Patty Wagon. I don't know if they actually double fry them (which is the proper way of cooking fries) or not but they are just about perfect. In fact, I would go so far as to say they are the best fries I've had in or around OKC and maybe the state. If you like perfectly cooked rustic style fries then Patty Wagon should be on your short list.
The staff is always fantastic. They are friendly, attentive and seem to enjoy being there which makes it more enjoyable for the guests. Easily the friendliest group of workers I've come across in any restaurant. They keep the place clean, cheery and interesting.
There's only one thing that bugs me and that is the smell when you walk in. I think it's the air freshener from the bathrooms (which are always clean and tidy) but whatever it is it permeates the entire restaurant. I should be able to smell food while sitting at the table but all I can smell is that odd air freshener smell. I'm not counting that as a bad point for Patty Wagon because it might just be that I'm sensitive to that smell and nobody else even notices it. That's literally the only thing even remotely bad I can say about this little place which means it's a great place to get...
Read moreToo bad we already ate our food, but I’m sure you have seen pics of what they have!! A good sized menu and everything looks amazing. Burgers are cooked perfectedly! We have been to a lot of places, S &B, Garage, nicks, Ty,s, tuckers, Bad daddys, and many others, but this has to be one of our top spots ever. From scratch items and sauces, fresh tasting , again cooked to order perfectly. What is really nice, you get your juicy burger like the Big John or the Ted dirt burger, juicy, amazing crust, hot with topping like grilled onions and/jalapeños and the toasted buns, soft but not greasy like lots of other places. Trust me you can get messy but you are not covered in grease. Plus you add a side the fries and onions rings were fantastic. The onion rings crispy outside, onion is nice and tender and you get the sweetness from the onion not just from the coating. I hate going to places and getting onion rings and you taste the sugar more than the flavor of what you are eating. The atmosphere is friendly and you may have to wait to get a seat but it is totally worth the wait. I have been to other places not busy and wait for a mediocre burger and device and overpay for what I got. The process are on point and priced at an affordable rate and truly I wouldn’t find a better burger that costs more elsewhere because you won’t. You will leave full and fulfilled after your order. Plus the homemade sauces made are ridiculous. Ranch is excellent great consistency not to thick but sticks to your fries our sandwich and tastes fresh, jalapeño ranch is fire! Spicy ketchup, one of the best I have ever had, it has a nice sweet tastes with nice little peppery kick that just enhances the flavor of your rings or fries. The wagon sauce, another most excellent sauce that has a nice sweet, vinegary flavor that just kicks up the flavor of anything you had it too.
The service was great and friendly. The guys and girls there are busting gump to get their jobs done, taking orders, getting, trying to get your seat prepared and get your food out fresh and fast as they can but making sure they get you what you need. Roger took our order and was very friendly and Sammy who took our picture was very friendly and we watched running around helping other customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude. And there is Millie, granted I do know her from a long time, working hard and greeting us and making sure food is top notch before it comes out. Truly if you are near OKC, you need to check this place out, it is fire and it will hit the spot as the spot to grab your next burger fix. I’m looking forward to going back soon to try their paddy melt and...

Just had my first-ever burger from The Patty Wagon, and let me tell you—it was a revelation. This place might look like a humble little diner, but don’t let the size fool you. Every bite screams fresh, and you can taste the care in every layer.
The fries? Hand-cut, golden, and crispy like they just got baptized in hot oil glory. The beef? Fresh-ground and juicy—not a hint of freezer funk. And the bun? Oh man. Fluffy, slightly sweet, like a Hawaiian roll that went to culinary school. It held everything together without stealing the spotlight.
Now let’s talk about that Wagon Sauce. Imagine Raising Cane’s sauce got a glow-up—more pepper, more seasoning, more oomph. I dipped everything in it like it was holy water. Fries, burger, fingers—don’t judge me.
I went with the Big John, and it lived up to the name. Hearty, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The kind of burger that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate what’s happening in your mouth.
Service? A1. The folks up front were friendly, helpful, and genuinely excited to help me pick something out. You can tell they care about what they’re serving and who they’re serving it to.
If you’re a burger lover like me and you’re hunting for a spot that delivers flavor, freshness, and a little bit of magic in every bite—The Patty Wagon is your next stop. I’ll definitely be back. Probably sooner...
