One of the best burgers in town.
My friend and I were working down the street and heard there was a restaurant in the hotel so we thought we'd take a chance. Glad we did. We were working within the area for about 4 weeks and I think we came here at least 5 different times. Always for lunch so it was not too busy. The food: I like spicy so I got the Diablo Burger (jalapeño cream cheese, habanero bacon jam, and ghost pepper sliced cheese) every time we came in. To me it's not crazy spicy, but for people who think mild or medium salsa is hot this will burn your mouth. The last time I came I ordered the Southwest Burger (chipotle aioli, pepper jack cheese, house-made black bean salsa, and tortilla strips). That's the burger in the picture. It was delicious, but the Diablo is still my favorite. I don't know how or what they fry the french fries in, but they have just the right amount of crispy texture. SO GOOD! Customer service: Every time we came it was the same waitress. Since it was so slow it looks like she holds the fort down for lunch. Very prompt and courteous. Atmosphere: It's in a nice hotel so everything is clean, a fully stocked bar, and the decor has a modern look with televisions playing recent sports games etc. Price: It was $14 for the burger and fries and for the quality you get it's well worth it to pay a couple extra bucks compared to most fast food joints where it's usually a minimum $10 for a combo meal that's not nearly on this level. If you're looking for a burger place I highly recommend you give this place a shot for lunch or date night. You won't be...
Read moreMy initial greeting was a young woman that seemed scared, uncomfortable not sure. I broke the ice with her by sharing what I do just to get her to come around.
I shared with her that she should greet the customers with, welcome to the Burger Shed here at Embassy Suites. My name is Eden and I will be assisting you today. What can I start you off with?
She listened to absolutely NOTHING!
I requested a to go container and the first one was a good plastic container. I requested a couple of other meals to go which one was a salad. NOPE, open plate and has me put the Salad 🥗 in a paper box where all of the toppings wind up in the bottom, hence no toppings.
Tenderloin had no flavor, missing spices or flavoring. Onion strings were a little greasy but still good, again no salt and pepper. Shouldn’t have to ask for these simple things. The supposed best burger is a far cry from greatness. I would say that the majority of their business is done in the evening because this place is a ghost town at 1:00 in the afternoon. I specifically told her that I wanted the burger to go and comes out on a plate?

And to top it off with all of my frustrations that she had to call a manager to open the cash register to get me my change. I tipped her and I actually shouldn’t have gave her a dime.
If anyone is staying at the Embassy Suites, which are awesome properties go across the street to the restaurant and bar I believe it was called Johnnies tavern. Food, drinks and staff...
Read moreGiving it 3 stars based on POTENTIAL and SERVICE! Our server was great, but the whole dining experience (and I get it, I came on a Sunday night, maybe I'm not getting the A-Team behind the bar and in the kitchen) left something to be desired. I'll start with my drink.. The skinny jeans drink had WAYYY too much lime juice in it. It's got potential to be a GREAT drink; jalapeño infused vodka, agave, & lime juice. I had the bartender remake it with 1/3 the lime juice and then it was good. Then my husband ordered a glass of wine, the server came back saying her manager said they didn't offer it by the glass, she then showed the manager the menu, then he okayed the bartender to serve it by the glass. That was just an unnecessary exchange. Then my chicken ciabatta sandwich came on a hamburger bun and the server was like "ohh I'm so sorry about that! We must be out and no one told me!" Totally not her fault, but it's kinda like, this is supposed to be a classy spot, so get it together back there! On a positive note, the restaurant is decorated absolutely beautifully! If they could be more on-point with the minutia, it would be a really great spot. I'm definitely going to give them a...
