China 1 Chinese Restauraunt — Restaurant in Olathe

How does this place have 4.1 stars??! I travel all over the country trucking with my husband. We have had a wide variety of good and bad Chinese food, but this place wins the prize of the worst Chinese food I've had in years. Looking at the picture I posted with this review, WHAT IS THIS BLACK SLIMEY GELATIN LIKE SUBSTANCE????!!!!!!!!! It smells like feet, & its inedible. The egg rolls are a 1 out of a 10 and they taste like they have been frozen for about a decade. The beef and garlic was unlike ANY kind of beef and garlic either of us have ever had. It was like Steak ems, and the sauce tasted extremely watered down. Even the sweet and sour sauce appeared to be water with food coloring and tasted like sweetened water. The only thing slightly edible was the shrimp and rice which was over cooked and really flavorless. The fortune cookies were so stale I could hardly bite into them. Just had the worst experience with ordering ever. I thought I was calling the place near my new apartment that I had never been to, but when I arrived we realized that I had called the wrong place. I ended up waiting with a grumpy one year old for this other place to cook my simple order (one lunch special). It wasn't a bit deal until, on my way home, I was called several times by this china one number. When I didn't answer because I was driving they sent me this message: "This is from china one you placed an order and if you don't come pick it up then we won't be doing business with you ever again." So very disappointed in China 1 this year. My family has patronized this business many times throughout the year for over a decade, and service is normally FANTASTIC, even on the busiest of nights. Tonight, we discovered we didn’t receive the Lo Mein we ordered, and when I called the lady on the phone argued and belittled and tried to charge full price for a mistake they made. My husband eventually got them to give us the “side price” which was fair because they didn’t upcharge us the first time, only for us to get back home and discover they sent 3 sesame chicken entrees instead of 2 sesame chicken and 1 general Taos. Not wanting a repeat of the verbal assault we received the first time we called, So I decided to leave this review, so others can see our experience.
