Portions are absurdly large—come very hungry or plan to share! Most dishes easily serve two, making Romeito an incredible value for the price. Found this just looking for highly rated local restaurants & was surprised to find an Authentic Cuban restaurant in Lenexa Kansas! Walking in late on a Friday, it wasn’t busy, however you can tell it’s a family run business , with each family member speaking to us at some point. We had a wonderful, polite & young new waitress that was friendly, smiling & very attentive & helpful. The mojitos were amazing as other reviews stated, as we’ve had them in Havana, Cuba, Miami & Colombia & are fairly picky - absolutely incredible & authentic with even a sugar cane slice included.

I was initially a bit surprised with the prices of the appetizers & meals, however once we received them I couldn’t believe the portion sizes ! Flavor was delicious & we couldn’t even finish the stuffed tostones , along with my Cubano sandwich & tostones I had ordered also ! Well worth it & much bigger than you’d imagine, so I recommend the A La Carte for smaller sample sizes.

I stopped by here to pick up dinner after just learning of this restaurant a few days ago, it won't be the last time I come here! I have family in Florida and always love the Cuban food that can be found there, but have lamented seeing so many Cuban places open in the metro, only to close soon after. Well, I hope Romeito is here to stay! Masitas de peurco has long been my favorite Cuban dish, so I got the masas de puerco here with black beans and rice and mashed plantains - I'm a big dude and I couldn't finish everything, there was so much food. Not only was it a huge quantity, but it was delicious - the meat was perfectly tender, the onions were slightly tangy, and the rice and beans were perfectly seasoned.
