Hardee’s — Restaurant in Olathe

I really didn't want to become a 'Karen' but this one employee almost turned me into one. It was early morning when I decided to get breakfast for my boyfriend and I.

I was very tired still working on time management and decided that I probably should wash my face, put on all my skincare and leave the house in my pjs to go get the food. It took me a while to get the GPS to work and there were several stoplights I had to wait at. I didn't know how angry the person serving me the food would be when I got there. She said at least twice in very obvious passive aggressive tone that it was an hour and a half since I ordered the food and that it is cold.

Google said that the food would be ready at 9:47am and I got there at 10:13am. It takes 25 or 20 minutes considering all the stop lights and traffic to get from my house to this Hardee's location. I didn't realize I'd be passive aggressively attacked for being late to pick up my order. It was so unprofessional. I don't care who you are or how late you show up to pick up your food. Don't be unprofessional with your customers. I'm not sure what was happening behind the scenes but I will not be coming back to...

I get the Hardee's breakfast at least once a week, and maybe lunch/dinner once a month. We love this location, as it's very close to my house and i drive past it on my way out of Olathe, so it's convenient when I want something quickly but don't want to cook. The biscuits are off the charts good.

I don't have as much experience with the night crew, but the morning crew there I absolutely love. They are always fast on my order to get me going to work. Very friendly on the speaker and at the window, pay for food, and i'm on my way.

I consider this place an Olathe staple, as this location has been here for-ev-er, and i'd like to keep it that way.

Two small criticisms i'll add: The drive-thru lane could use some re-curbing or re-surfacing, it's kinda crusty. Also, My wife really enjoyed the Iced Coffee in the morning, but they no longer serve them. If they had better coffee options, we could probably make some of our coffee...

The only thing that surprised me more than how terrible the service was was how filthy it was. Walked in it was dead as can be. Old food littered the floor. I saw a basket of fries above the fryer that I know should be frozen from years of fast food totally thawed. It took the person working register about a minute to acknowledge our presence even though she was standing right there doing nothing. While she was taking our order I got a great view of the drive through Guys underwear. The food was so dry and revolting the only way I ate it was by drenching it in ranch. After our food was ready and sitting in the window it sat for a while then when we finally got someone to grab our food. She walked right to where they hold the sauces because I had asked for a ranch turned around without grabbing any and handing me my tray.
