Cali's Corner — Restaurant in Old Jamestown

I ordered my food off of door dash around 12:30 pm on their Soul Food Sunday. It was quick to be delivered around 1:15 pm, but my order was completely wrong. I called and stated why my order was wrong and it was like they couldn't comprehend what I was telling them. I then asked "Do I just need to come up there?" and I believe the woman who was the owner said "Yes." Once I arrived, they told me that it would be 40 minutes-1 hour for another Turkey Leg and to come back at 2:30 pm. She kept insisting I order something else, but I said no because I ordered another meal (Rib tip meal) for a family member. I come back at 2:30, the food is STILL not done and they didn't even have my other order ready. They didn't even listen when I told them I had TWO orders and was missing both. So they thought I was waiting on ONE turkey leg. So they said it would be another 30 minutes (still didn't apologize for the inconvenience). The owner told me she was going to give me my money back, so when I finally got my food around 3:35 pm, she only offered to pay me back for the Turkey leg meal, not my whole order! Not one apology or anything. This was the WORST service I have ever had. And I wanted to try this place because I heard good things. I never write reviews on restaurants and I am for supporting local/black businesses, but this was ridiculous and I was not happy. And on top of that my turkey leg was supposed to be STUFFED. Ordered via ubereats to have my order picked up. Just for them to give my food away. Told me they were closed (I ordered after 7). How was i supposed to know it was closed if 1. The establishment on google said it was open and 2. Said it was open on Ubereats. Said it was picked up already. How when I haven’t got it. They either never made it or gave my food away to a random person that just happened to say they were picking up.

Edit: told my boyfriend the refunded my money 11/3 and on 11/7 i still don’t have it

Edit again: 11/8 called twice about a refund, was told uber eats was gonna send me a message in regard to said refund and did not receive a message. This is ridiculous. I want my money!!!

Edit: 11/10 I ordered ubereats for PICK UP not delivery. But it’s cool I’m getting it disputed.

I ordered green beans and Mac and cheese.

Pro: -didn’t take long for the order -the cashier was nice Mac and cheese consistency was perfect. Not too wet, not too dry

Cons: the Mac and cheese didn’t really have flavor except from the cheese and the noodles were too soft. Add a little more salt, pepper, and paprika and cook the noodles al dente, then bake and baking will cook it the rest of the way. I think the noodles were too soft because the baking time wasn’t accounted for in the noodle cooking time. -they didn’t have the appropriate tops (smaller) for the sides and didn’t notify me so the green bean juice leaked all in the bag. I didn’t realize until I got home.
