Bar/Restaurant was recommended by a friend for their wings. Placed order for pickup. Ordered Teaser Special, which was $6.49 and requested all wings, no drums. Also wanted fried vegys, not raw vegys or french fries. The menu I was going off of did not show other appetizers, so I asked female that I placed the order with for options of other fried vegetables, like fried cauliflower. She indicated that they did not have fried cauliflower, but they had fried broccoli. I said, really, fried broccoli? She said yes, so I said I wanted to try that since I've never had it. Picked up my food; decent atmosphere. Got back to hotel and saw I got 3 wings & 3 drums plus steamed broccoli. Wings were tasty enough. Called to speak with the manager, but they were not available. Female that answered the phone said on wing day, we cannot guarantee that you will get all wings. I advised her that I specifically ordered all wings, and the girl said it would not be a problem. She said, no, when the wings are only $.60 each, we do not guarantee what you are going to get. I said I did not pay $.60 per wing; I paid $6.49 for the Teaser Special. If I were getting the wing day special, my charge should have only been $3.60 for the wings. I also told her that the girl sold me fried broccoli, but what I got was steamed broccoli. She said I must have misunderstood; they don't serve fried broccoli. I told her she is the one who got it wrong; I made sure I clarified my order. I asked this argumentative female on the other end of the line to have her manager call me. She said she would leave a note to have the manager call me on Monday. Guess what, NO CALL!!! Will never frequent this place again while in the North Olmsted area, I don't care how tasty the...
Read moreUpdate: So far the volleyball scene has been going downhill here unfortunately. Although it just may be my opinion. The service at this bar has consistently been an issue but recently the refs (some of the new ones) are argumentative, rude, and also do not know the rules. Playing in their intermediate level I would expect the ref to be aware of what a block is as well as not letting people attack from the back row. Just really sloppy and lazy individuals, unfortunately, ruining the experience despite some of the refs knowing what they are doing.
If you are looking to play volleyball I'd suggest looking somewhere else. If you're looking for specific 1 hour games with no fear of timing change this maybe your place (all depends on which ref you get). This season so far our last ref ended our game after 1 hour. Cutting our last game basically in half even though we started on time and no one was waiting for the court. Not only was he was rude or clearly doesn't understand the game well enough to be referring an intermediate level game. He started throwing out crazy rules. Numerous times he threatened to deduct points. It makes me sad that this place has consistently gotten worse every volleyball session since i started playing here 4 years ago. First the decline was in food quality and service and now even the volleyball is starting to become a problem.
Old: Very nice place for volleyball. The bar is not so bad but if you are further down the courts you will more than likely have to go to the bar for service.
Also by no means drink a glass of water. It's well water (I assume) and tastes quite bad. They do sell bottled water. Finally they don't allow you to bring in your own water which is my...
Read moreLast night after our softball game, we went to Razzle’s like we usually do. I tried to order a drink, but realized I had forgotten my ID. Totally understandable, the bartender couldn’t serve me, so I canceled my drink and actually left to drive 30 minutes home to get my ID.
When I came back, my boyfriend ordered me a drink, and that bartender didn’t ask for my ID. A little later, the manager came over and asked for it, which again—I fully understand is his job. However, the way he handled it was unprofessional. He approached with “uh-oh” as soon as I started looking for my wallet, and when I explained I had just gone home to get it, he responded with unnecessary attitude.
I handed over my ID immediately, but instead of just checking it and moving on, he insinuated I had “magically” gotten it after telling the first bartender I didn’t have one. I repeated that I had gone home to get it, but he continued to be confrontational, and eventually told me to leave simply because I matched his tone back to him.
When another person from our group tried to talk to him about the way he handled the situation, he gave them attitude too, even saying I “needed to learn etiquette.” In reality, as a manager, he should learn how to speak respectfully to customers—especially ones who have complied with the law and provided a valid ID.
I understand ID checks are important, but there’s no need to treat paying customers with sarcasm or hostility. I didn’t “magically” produce my ID—I made a 30-minute round...
