Abelardo's Mexican Fresh — Restaurant in Omaha

Without going into the loooong story, I had quite an experience yesterday. I ordered from the postmates app and turns out they aren't partnered with the app so it caused a lot of confusion with everything that happened. I went back and forth with postmates, then messaged Abelardos to try and figure out what was going on, and finally it was the person I was chatting with that figured it out. The whole exchange was so pleasant, even though it began with my frustration. But they turned out to not be at fault at all. Even though they weren't the person I was speaking with offered to go pick up whatever meal and drink I wanted and they'd personally deliver it to me. AGAIN, they were NOT the ones at fault and THEY STILL OFFERED A FREE MEAL AND DELIVERY. 😱 Turns out I was speaking directly to the owner. I was beside myself with how nice they were. I politely declined, but they insisted to let them know what I want next time and it'll be on them 🥺 I always loved this restaurant before, the food is always phenomenal! But this is a new level of love I have for them now! I highly recommend this restaurant and if you run into one of the owners, give them a high five (from across the room..because..6ft rule ;) ) for being so awesome and running such a great...

This particular Abelardo's (60TH AMES) I won't give a second chance or thought after this review.THEY WOULD HAVE ZERO STARZ IF THAT WAS AN OPTION! The french fries were SUPER SOGGY and full of oil my chicken tacos were burnt from the chicken to the shell & tasted burnt. They would NOT redo them the guy at the window was EXTREMELY rude i said nothing out the way I had zero attitude nothing just wanted something eat-able for $4 a freaking taco on top of they had forgot one of our fries,so having to park get out it was cold,but I mean you could smell and see that the chicken tacos were burnt NOT OVER COOKED but BURNT. Personally I will NOT ever eat here again I don't care how hungry I am I'll go around the corner & grab something from the gas station. NEVER AGAIN the 1ST TIME IS MY LAST TIME. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL in business or even how they have 4 Stars I have seen more bad reviews than good this place is a NO NO...

30th and Ames is hands down the worse location to order food from. I was on my 30 minute lunch break, I’m not sure if they were having a bad day but I truly think someone tampered with my food. The girl at the drive through window was very rude for no reason. I’ve worked in costumer service, so I know how hard it can be, so I try not to be rude when I’m receiving services from someone. My order took almost 10 minutes and while waiting she kept my debit card the whole time. I couldn’t see inside of the store because there was a window covering blocking my view. I was fine with waiting 10 minutes but my issue was the flautas and Horchata I ordered. My food tasted so horrible I was literally gagging. My food tasted like the scent of car exhaust, and my Horchata tasted like water. I didn’t get home until 8pm, and that was my only chance to eat, and unfortunately I didn’t eat breakfast, so I was really hoping for...
