Was disappointed by the service experienced during our visit. When we arrived there were only two other tables seated and one was leaving. We were seated immediately, but then waited 10 minutes before being approached again.
The young guy serving seemed to be a teenager/family member who had trouble prioritizing and keeping up. We placed a drink and food order at the same time.
Our drinks came about 10 minutes later, and our food immediately after. The egg roll appetizers were scalding hot and we had to wait for them to cool before we could pick them up. During the wait (about 2-3 minutes later) our food was delivered. Again, there was only one other table seated while we were there.
We ate out main dishes, which were at a reasonable temperature, but couldn't eat the appetizer until afterwards because it was too hot.
The final step of our poor service was asking twice for the check, to have the kid serving stand over us waiting for us to put a tip and sign the receipt before he walked away.
That said, the food was actually decent. We enjoyed our dishes, and once the egg rolls cooled from scalding to just plain hot, we were able to enjoy those too.
It's really a shame that the owners have a kid serving who is ruining what could be an excellent Thai restaurant in Omaha. The food was great. But the service and timing was so bad, it left us with a bad taste in our mouth. Hopefully they can fix the...
Read moreBoy oh boy, where do I even start?! Just a few days ago, I was in a dark place. Suicidal thoughts had been consuming me, and I felt like I'd lost all purpose. But then, something unexpected happened. I walked into Kynaw Mu Thai Restaurant, and everything changed.
The aroma of freshly cooked Thai spices enveloped me, and the warm smile of the hostess welcomed me in. I was hesitant at first, but the cozy atmosphere and soft music put me at ease. Then, the food arrived. Oh, the food! Each bite was like a symphony of flavors, a harmonious balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. It was as if the chef had poured love and care into every dish.
But it wasn't just the food that saved me. It was the kindness of the staff, the gentle concern in their eyes, and the sense of community that filled the restaurant. For the first time in weeks, I felt seen, heard, and understood.
As I savored each morsel, something shifted inside me. The darkness began to lift, and a glimmer of hope emerged. I realized that life was still worth living, that there was beauty and joy to be found.
Kynaw Mu Thai Restaurant, you saved me. Your food, your people, and your love gave me a second chance. I'll be forever grateful.
If you're struggling like I was, please know that there's hope. And if you're lucky, you might just find it at this incredible...
Read moreTheir crab Rangoon are to die for and the homemade dipping sauce makes them even better ❤ And they make their own chicken nuggets and barbecue dipping sauce, so good! I've had their full tilapia (don't remember the exact name of the dish) and the beef korma, both of which are absolutely wonderful. I couldn't stop eating the beef korma until I was full beyond measure. And my life partner, she loves the corn soup, which is very flavorful, but more of a broth, so she adds an order of plain white rice to it and the price of the two together is the sane as the other dishes and definitely a meal's worth of food. The corn soup is so good it inspired me to create my own recipe for dinner one night, which was amazing. Despite that my life partner and I have been back for their corn soup. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. This is my favorite non-Burmese Asian...
