Amateur Coffee — Restaurant in Omaha

As a former employee, I can only say the best things, when talking about this lil vegan coffee parlor. Everything that goes into your glass jar is made with love and care. It all starts with Jake roasting the beans right in house every single week, to the incredible menu curated by Jasmyn, to the baristas putting in time and care, perfectly and passionately making the most delicious latte you will ever have! Honestly this was the best boss/employee experience I have ever had in the many places I have worked. Jasmyn and Jake truly cared and loved me while I was there and still do. I have only love in my heart for everyone I ever worked with here.I was always treated with kindness and compassion. My wages were extremely fair. I miss my regulars everyday and can still recite back their orders at the drop of a hat. I have learned a lot of amazing life lessons, I still carry with me everyday from here. This lil vegan coffee parlor will always hold a very special place in my heart.

This is a rare find as it is a vegan coffee shop which serves oat milk. They have exceptionally friendly staff that will go out of their way to explain things.

The only issue I found was, their seats are all very high stools. It doesn't seem very wheelchair friendly. You have to be the type of person that can sit on a stool without a back. I just know of some people who might have issues. It makes for slightly uncomfortable seating, but it's a small space so it does maximize space

Pricing is pricier but it's vegan milk which usually costs more. ($6 for a latte with syrup) They have oat, almond and coconut as options. Parking is available in front as street parking or in the back in a parking lot. Great little gem!

The spirulina steamer for me was a 4 🌟... I think I just ordered the wrong one. For spirulina, it's good, but I'm apparently not the biggest fan of it. I got a decaf vanilla on my second go. 5 🌟 The baked goods are from magnolia bakery. I wasn't as much a fan of the scones, but the vanilla donut was 5 🌟

They have a bottle program now to recover on waste. Pay an extra $1 and you can keep the cup. Return it and you can get $1 off...

I love this place, but I am sad they have chosen to replace their previous higher quality coconut milk with a cheaper version. I believe most of us who choose coconut milk do it for the health reasons, not because they want their milk to taste like a pina colada. :D That really strong, fake, sweet coconut flavor ruins everything. I hope you return back to an unsweetened brand like pacifica or so delicious cuz I really love stopping here, but I can't drink other milk and the coconut milk you have now is really bad.

I used to come in more frequently a year ago before it became out of the way for my commute. I guess $$$ doesn't always equal quality, but if it has a very strong coconut smell and taste, it's way too overpowering and the flavor of the latte is lost, so idk what the others you mentioned taste like but I'll try and stop in again in a few weeks!! Again, I LOVE your shop. I want to come back. Not many people use coconut milk and realize that THAT flavor is off putting. 😅...
