There's a new gem in town, and it's a groovy store called A Little More Like Home. If you are a fan of anything mid-century modern, this should be on your radar to hop in and check out. Newly opened, the owners Elise and Jeff curated a stunning showroom, and continue to cycle in and out outstanding, quality pieces. They are the nicest people, and are highly knowledgeable when it comes to this era of furniture (Jeff even took the time to talk to me to share his knowledge of the pieces they acquired). Along with their own pieces, they invite guest vendors to set up shop for a month, bringing even more vintage mid-century modern wares and accessories. I can not begin to tell you how amazing this company is and what personal care you will receive when working with them. I found a painting on their website that I have been looking for for years. This painting is very important to me because of the childhood memories I have connected with it. I contacted the company because I live in Wisconsin and was not sure it could be shipped to me based on the size of the piece. Elise not only helped me to ship it to Wisconsin she spent tons of time researching companies and options so I would be able to afford to pay for the shipping cost. I had previously been a customer of their online shop and have been very pleased with all of their work. I was excited to see them finally open a store front. The store is beautifully laid out and all of the items were in great condition. The employees were happy to share the history behind each item. They were gracious enough to show us how each of the more intricate furniture pieces worked.
