When you walk in, you know immediately that this place is the real deal. Low key place with a long but plain looking menu over the register that has character. The guy who is always running the place has broken but plenty good enough english and you can tell he has his family help run it. You should have seen the look of fear that this Aaian guy's face had when I first brought in my family of 7 one by one with young kids. Talk about a clash of cultures. They were still so very kind, hospitable and very accomodating. They hired a Slavic waitress who is just about kindest person you could ever meet. Though she's not Asian, she knows their menu very well and is very helpfull with it. You can sense that the staff clicks together and operates very well. A very good comfortable feeling in the building. THE FOOD is amazingly delicious! Talk about fresh - even the fried stuff. Sweet and Sour Chicken lover? You're in heaven and they ensure it with unlimited excellent sauce. Did I mention fresh? Their Lemon Chicken is incredibly fresh though fried. The lemon rines they serve it with and the lemon sauce is the difference maker. Try adding a couple drops of their hot mustard sauce and you'll faint. You can't go wrong with their shrimp variations of either mentioned above dishes. Their Low Mein is absolutely to die for - full of flavor. Chicken and Beef options are a winner but I have to admit that the chicken is extremely satisfying - the tenderness and flavor - unbeatable. It's time for me to try their Teriyaki Chicken and Egg Foo Yung. I'm confident the experience will be just as divine. Like most low key Asian places, the cost is cheap as it about the same to take my large family to Taco Bell. A no brainer to...
Read moreI have a family of 5… 4 kids and 1 adult, so I ordered a family order of fried rice and 3 orders of crabragoons and a chicken egg roll 40$ worth of food… when I placed my order on the phone, I was asked do I want forks? Yes I want utensils, I’m ordering food to go. Then I asked for extra sweet and sour for my order and was told yes they will put 2 in the bag I then informed him I have 4 kids to feed so 2 cups of sweet and sour wasn’t enough for the amount of food I purchased…. The rude man on the phone proceeded to tell me that’s to bad if I want more I can pay for a bowl of it…. I said why are they being stingy with sauce? 4 kids will not share a 2 ounce cup to dip there crab raggoons I need at least 4 but I don’t see why I can’t have 5 of those cups so everyone could have 1 for themselves? He said no if I want that many I have to buy a bowl…. Again I pointed out that’s ridiculous to have to pay extra when I’m already buying 4 appetizers…. He said again do you want to buy a bowl? I said no and I want to speak to a manager, that rude man just hung up in my face…. Well the reason I am writing this review is because I decided not to call back in fear my order would get messed up. Well let me tell yall, I got home and had 1 fork and 3 little 2 ounce cups of sweet and sour sauce. So guess who could not enjoy their meal? MEEE! The person who paid for it! Why 1 child screened her lungs out all through dinner because they had no sauce to go with her crab raggoons. So thanks this is the 3rd time I have had this experience with this restaurant over condiments for food I payed for…… won’t be back cause they can’t even...
Read moreWe have been eating here for over 40 years. I forgave them when I saw a cockroach crawling on the counter several years ago because we loved their food, but the last two times the food was very disappointing and now we are never eating there again. We got chicken fried rice in a to go order and we're disappointed when we saw that it was just rice and onion with a couple of scraps of egg. I thought surely it was a mistake! The next (and last) time I ordered it again and was brought the same dreary looking meal. I asked why there were no vegetables and was told they charge an additional $4.50 for vegetables! I thought it was outrageous but ordered the vegetables and was brought about a cup of vegetables cut like they are in stir fry. I asked why there weren't any peas in it and was told that there was another extra charge for peas!! Also my husbands broccoli beef order was much smaller than we used to get. I asked for a knife to cut up the big vegetable chunks in my dish and waited 15 minutes for it! I should have listened to that...
