5/28/20 4:45p At Family Fare on Saddlecreek waiting at the delhi counter for my order. This lady walks up and she’s standing in my space, 3 feet and no mask. I politely asked her could she step back because she was not social distancing herself. She refused to distance herself. Her daughter or granddaughter (about 35 years old) walks up and started talking off the wall. I explained to her the situation. Then she gonna say “you don’t want to see these hands. I went and told the frontline security guard and he just stood there and finished his conversation with the person he was talking too. Shortly after I got home, I called and talked with the manager Logan Windam at Family Fare. I told him about the situation. He said the mask and social distancing are just suggestions and they cannot enforce these guidelines at the store. He said in Nebraska they only take the recommendations of the CDC. I also told him about the Frontline security guard. He said the security guard is more so just a presence at the store and he can’t encounter or confront customers. I told him he can roll back the video to view this incident and that I will never patronize Family Fair ever again. I did get the name of the store director Chris Kennison and will be calling him tomorrow between 8am-2pm. Why have guidelines if you can’t enforce them! Why have social distancing marks throughout the store and a sign on the door regarding masks. Businesses can enforce COVID-19 guidelines. Family Fare just refuse to do so. This COVID-19 is real and Family Fare and some of their customers are acting like it...
Read moreI have had multiple bad experiences shopping at this grocery store of which two of them I will speak of today in this review. With the first being about a two or three months ago when I was at the self checkout and a bagger came to help bag my grocery’s. She grabbed one of the Chicken containers (I had picked up from the fridge area in anticipation of warming it up in the oven at home later on) from the bagging area and when I looked at it after arriving home it had a slit in the packaging. While I cant say for certain it was her I can say that it was not there when I picked it out from the refrigerated area. Another what I would refer to as an incident occurred less then a week ago when I had to stop there to pick up a few grocery as I do appreciate there Oriental Isle as they do have a great deal of good options there. While there I experienced multiple Employees of the store using rude Language in a Discussion about a customer that was shopping there at the time. Know I do believe they where speaking of myself and given this was the situation I responded and got no answer so I then made a statement to one of the employees at bagging as I could not seem to get the attention of the employees involved with no response.
All and All I do like the location and the prices however the Environment of the Store especially since the merger has become more and more negative and frankly feels more unsafe today then...
Read moreManager always gets 5 stars. He's very personable and helpful. The store; however, continually disappoints. Not because of cleanliness or product availability. It'd get 4 based on that. Why? Because of their ridiculous prices! Their everyday prices (except the $1 selection) are higher than many of their competitors. And., their sale prices are often the same or higher than the other stores' ads. Family Fare was known for more of a warehouse, no frills, self bagging discount grocery store. Now It's like a generic, over-priced Kmart flashback. One more thing, what is the point of having a Security Guard if he's only watching his phone? He was walking, head down, while texting in the parking lot. I had to stop then go around him so I could park. Later, while checking out then walking to the doors, he's still head down, typing on his...
