The service I received at this station this morning was AWEFUL!!! At 6:20 a.m. I purchased a full tank of premium gas, and I also wanted a Silver Car Wash. When the screen displayed the car washes available, silver was not one of the options. The screen also did not display prices of the car washes. I picked the middle one, which was gold (there was red, gold, and gold plus) thinking it was the equivalent of silver and that it would only be a dollar or two more than the red wash. The notch in the pump that keeps the pump running would not stay latched. Then, as something I experience often at this gas station, the paper did not print, and I had to go inside to see the cashier (which the point of it printing it outside is to avoid this inconvenience). Upon going inside, I dealt with an extremely unpleasant and unprofessional cashier named Sheri. When I told her the pump was not printing paper, and that was frustrating, her only response was, "Well, I watched them refill the paper." Then, after going to my car and looking at my receipt, I noticed I was charged $9.99 for the car wash, plus $0.70 in addition for car wash tax. The red wash was only $5.99. I went back in to explain to Sheri I wanted the silver wash, and it was not displayed. She made no effort to help me obtain what I wanted to purchase. I asked if a manager was available, and she told me there was not (not a surprise, it was 6:20 a.m.). As I left the store, she and other customers started laughing at my expense about my displeasure with my purchase. This is the 2nd worst experience I have ever had with a gas station attendant. The only thing she couldn't do was demean me due to me being a woman, which is another experience I had at a different BP station. It is really sad that this is the expected level of customer service at this gas station. However, my most recent order was disappointing, not due to Casey's but rather due to issues with their partner, DoorDash. Unfortunately, the DoorDash driver left our pizza on the first floor near the mailboxes without informing us. As a result, the pizza became cold and unappetizing.
Given that I paid $30 for the order and provided a tip to the driver in advance, I had expected the pizza to be delivered directly to my door. Despite this unfortunate experience, I would like to commend the manager at Casey's for his efforts. He acted diligently to rectify the situation by successfully securing a refund from DoorDash, demonstrating a commendable commitment to customer service, even in the face of a challenging interaction with a dissatisfied customer.
Overall, while I appreciate Casey's dedication to quality, I believe they could further enhance their reputation by reconsidering their partnership with DoorDash to prevent similar issues in the future. They will remain on their phones during the transaction as well. Most employees here have no customer service skills. Some of my items rang up incorrectly the last time I stopped in, but they were so busy and only had one person checking people out, that I will have to go back with my receipt to get the refund because I was not waiting in line again- I was overcharged nearly $6. Overall, the store is usually in bad shape, with many items out of stock and it's dirty. This is the closest gas station to my house, but I will likely never return to this location again.
