I grew up in Millard, and have worked in the food industry for 15 years. From fast food, to fast casual, to fine dining establishments. What I experienced today at this location warrants a bad review, and not to the kitchen staff, I want to make that clear. Having been to this location for a decade, I was appalled. I entered to place a carry out order, the second I walked in, I heard “30 minute ticket” “I refunded them because it was took so long”. This was coming from a male who seemed to be a shift lead or a manager on site. Not a great impression, he should not have been complaining about refunds, and ticket times within ear shot of ANYONE near the front counter or potential patrons. As I stood in line, he CONTINUED to loudly complain to front counter staff AND through the window to kitchen staff. That is unacceptable behavior, I don’t care what time of day or how big the rush is. It’s unprofessional. I stood in line with only 2 people in front of me, for 15 minutes. It took that long because as customers were placing orders he was stepping away to complain. Because he was so vocal about the ticket times I watched 2 people walk in, and then leave. It’s now my turn to go, I ordered 2 combos, and an additional double butter burger, sandwich only, again, in the middle of me ordering he turned around to berate staff on ticket times very loudly. I got my receipt and I waited, I waited 10-15 minutes. I then went outside to put my drinks in the car. As I was outside doing so, that person came outside and was ripping his vape pen, and walked off. I went back inside, and stood there for an additional 10 minutes, with no one at the front counter. A kitchen staff member came out to ask me if I had been served (kudos to that guy, mvp right there) and I said yes. After becoming frustrated from no one being at the front counter, I just out of curiosity looked over at the rack for food delivery services for pickup. There it was. Shame on front end “management”. Once I got back to my car with the order I realized, he didn’t even ring in the additional burger. I was so over it all, I just left. I know it’s hard to get people to work in fast casual, especially in some form of management, but I gotta say, whoever he is, that’s not your guy. It’s a restaurant, people are coming for frozen custard, and burgers, not to listen to someone yell about ticket times. I don’t do reviews, but something about this needs to be addressed-fixed so that this location doesn’t suffer...
Read moreI went through the drive thru for malts and a crispy chicken sandwich. I asked for no tomato on the sandwich and the mayo on the side. I was told I couldn't have the mayo on the side. I asked why I couldn't have a side of mayo, and he said he thought they were out. I asked him to check, and then he just said, "Ok. What else do you want?" He was very rude! The sandwich ended up having tomato on it, but there was a side of mayo in the bag. The sandwich, however, was cold. I ordered 2 large chocolate malts, one with extra malt, and he said they can't do extra malt powder anymore. I told him that they always add extra for me and that I'm fine with paying extra, and he simply said no, they can't do that anymore. My food and malts were brought to the car by a young woman. The malts did not look like chocolate. They looked like vanilla, so i asked if she was sure they were chocolate. She rudely replied, "They're chocolate. I know because I made them myself." I asked her about the extra malt, and she said, "Yes, you can have extra malt, but you have to ask when you order." I told her I asked, and he said no. She told me she would talk to him about it, but it was too late to add it. Well, what good did that do me? My husband said his VANILLA malt was OK. Mine was really good after I added my own chocolate syrup and malt powder at home. I've encountered rude service here several times before, but chalked it up to a busy time or short staff. Neither was the case today and I've now given them their last chance. We...
Read moreAbsolutely will NOT be coming back. Ordered a lunch for the family, one of the sandwiches being the pork tenderloin with mustard added. The ticket was correct but when I got home the sandwich was literally just meat and bread, with the tiniest dollop of mustard that nearly took a magnifying glass to detect. Drove back to the store and the young lady and alleged manager was rude, said that policy dictates she cannot replace a $5 sandwich just for "missing condiments." Umm, excuse me? They made the mistake, didn't want to own it, and said without the receipt they wouldn't even discuss it further and offered me the owner's email address. I said I'd be back with the receipt, despite knowing my order number and having just been there not a half hour prior. Only upon returning with that receipt and refusing to accept her substandard shirking of accountability did they finally replace the sandwich. To think their initial solution was to give me the condiments so I could, what, take them home and put them on a cold sandwich? And for my sandwich I asked for steak sauce on the side and got just one singular.. Horseradish packet. All in all one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had in my life. They messed up, refused to take the chance to leap at making it right, and had to have their arm twisted into doing anything at all.
Will never be going back....
