I went with a few of my coworkers to Cunningham‘s pub and Grill for lunch earlier today.
In general, the atmosphere was good. There were plenty of customers and noise level was higher than I would’ve liked but given the fact that it was during lunch hour this could be forgiven
I had the salad with a fillet of salmon which was absolutely delicious! They got the lunch portion sizing perfect! it was not too much and not too less and I polished my plate clean.
This was my first visit to Cunningham’s pub and Grill and what I noticed right away was that there were only two servers for the entire restaurant! So we got to see very-very little of our server during our entire visit! Our food didn’t arrive until one hour after we sat at our table.
With the servers being so thinly spread we never got offered refills on our drinks simply because they never came by to see if anybody wanted refills
A number of my coworkers ordered the chargrilled chicken sandwich as that was apparently the signature dish and their best dish
However I did go with the salad with the salmon fillet and as I mentioned earlier it was delicious
I bumped them down from 5 stars to 4 stars because of the quality of service as well as the noise level.
So even though I don’t know why they were so short staffed with servers you guys do need to keep in mind that if you go to this particular restaurant you need to be prepared to set aside at least 90 minutes to finish your...
Read moreWent here for lunch today (4/18) around 1:30, and needless to say, we will not be coming back. Our server (girl with pink hair) took FOREVER to get to our table. I myself was a server, so I understand if it was a busier environment, but we were 1 of 3 tables, and there were plenty of staff. Our waitress in particular was chatting up her friend at the bar the entire time we were there. It came to the point our food was sitting in the window for upwards of 10 minutes. After watching multiple employees look at the food, the ticket, then walk away, I decided to step in, because this whole situation had caused me to be late to work at this point. One of the male servers ends up bringing the food to the table after I went up to him after he looked at the food and started to walk away. Our server came over for a split second, asked if we were okay, then went right back up to chatting with her friend. She forgot the sauces we requested, which we didn't even want to bring up at this point because I was more worried about being late to my job. The fish and chips btw is terrible. You'd be better off at a burger King. Full of bones, which is not only disgusting, but would definately be unpleasant to swallow. Our server was the laziest server Ive had in a long time, and turned us off to this...
Read moreFood is fantastic...Really, really good. Service is subpar... Usually... It's slow... Drinks sit empty, regularly. But the food... The wings are the best of their type in Omaha. Maybe the only one of their type, in Omaha. (Mouth of the South's wings are similar) . But they're great. GREAT. They're a smoked and grilled wing, so not your typical fried wing. Nice plate presentation, homemade soups... Top to bottom, you'd be hard pressed to find better food at a bar and grill in the Omaha area. But, the service kinda stinks.. Jordyn is nice, Gabbi was very nice, but again, it could be so much better. Maybe I don't know what the hades I'm talking about, but I guess I don't think you should have to repeatedly ask for refills. I ate there three days out of 5 in week... Why would I go if the service is so bad? Well duh... The darn food is so flipping good, that's why! And no, it wasn't busy-it was less than half full, all three times..
Maybe they should have a sign out front that says, "Food will be freaking awesome, some of the best you've had, but don't expect to have your drinks filled, without asking, repeatedly".
Wow... One year later, same exact experience.. Except the service sucked even worse, as if that's possible!...
