Initial review We came here for dinner. There is a lunch buffet option but it is not available for dinner. They do not have a sampler platter so this is a better option for dinner if you want variety, to go with a group of people so you can order more. Solid Indian options in a comfortable setting with friendly staff. We were asked 3 times how the food was. The refills on beverages however were slower. We had the chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken (it is called something else on the menu), and the goat vindaloo. Most of the items ranged from $11.99-$13.99. I forgot to get a picture of the menu. The goat we received was a lot of bones. If you want more meaty options opt for the chicken which is easier to eat. Favorites for the sauces were the korma and the tikka masala. Mango lassi was also good. The garlic naan had a generous amount of garlic and butter. It is already cut. I think you get 2 pieces per order. ($2.99) It is located in a large strip mall with plenty of parking. Google GPS sent us to the back of the building however so we had to do a big loop to get back to the front.

Where to start. The waitress was a total space cadet. She took our order and slowly brought things out one by one. She laid down a dish of rice and chicken and told us to dig in. Although it didn't appear to be anything we ordered we none the less dug in. The food was scorching heat level hot. The dip was lord knows what and we were missing 3/4 of what all we ordered. 20 mins later with our eyes and nose dripping from the heat, the manager told us we were served the wrong food. We are not Indian. I have no idea how to even pronounce most of the menu items so great customer service is important to avoid these kinds of issues. So now they bring out our original orders of food while the manager is scolding the incompetent help and another worker is holding the front door wide open talking to people while it's 5° outside and we're freezing. Our drinks never got refilled and we ended up with burnt mouths (come to find out they sent us heat level 8 by accident) and piles of extra food to throw away and forget about. I'll never ever go back. What a $50.00 disaster.

We had a great time at Maharaja! The place is unassuming with tinted windows then when you open the door you are met with a great atmosphere. Super clean and welcoming. The staff was very nice. My friends first time having Indian food and they answered all his questions and were very nice. He had the butter chicken which he really enjoyed. We had the garlic and butter Naan. The garlic naan was some of the best I’ve had. I had chicken Malabar which was perfect. The spices were a perfect blend. I got a 4 out of 5 and it was the perfect amount to warm your tongue and have a little nose run. They will customize the spice level on everything which is great and you know it’s made to order. Definitely will be back. Wasn’t crazy busy on a Saturday night as it should be with the quality of the food. Have a big drink menu as well! Forgot to take pictures of the food because it looked too good and forgot. Very fair prices for the portions and the staff again was great! Go check them out!

The cashier ( I am not sure if she is the owner of the place) and the waitress were both very rude. To the point that I felt like I thought they were mad at us because we dined in. The only reason we dined in due to we purchased a groupon ( dine in only restriction) a long time ago since Covid-19 we won't be able to use it until they allow dine in to the public. We decided to dine in yesterday since it is about to expire. We ordered two different curries to share. We thought food was good but we had some left over curries so I asked them for boxes (having the thought of getting some plastic containers because it is very liquid), but she brought two styrofoam boxes so I asked if I could get some plastic containers, but she said there will be extra charges in a very rude way. I was shocked because I have never asked for extra money for take out plastic containers so that I could transfer my left overs safely to home. I would think it is common sense specially places like Indian food, majority of their food are very liquid bases, so you would think they will allow their customers to use plastic containers. I saw many take out orders were carried by plastic containers. I guess we were penalized by dining in. Well besides of all of that, I was so shocked by their attitude. The rudest people I have ever been served by any restaurant. Even though food was good, I could not hardly imagine myself going back there again. Restaurant experience is not only enjoying a good food but also having a good atmosphere with a great service. I hope they will know what has been...

I would rate zero star if I could. Staff are really really rude rude rude and food is decent sometime it can be bad and waste of your money and time. This restaurant has been over an year with different owners and today was my fourth visit to this restaurant. I went today with my family for dinner at 8 o’clock I know it’s Sunday they close at 9 I was 1 hour early as we open the door we dint get any greet not hello two staff a boy and girl were in counter looking us but no greeting so I decided myself to choose table and showed her she dint even speak ok this story was before sitting at table. The guy come to our table and I said we don’t need cold water we need warm or hot water the guy said he doesn’t have hot water why don’t simply boil water and give it to us if they want to charge it’s ok but he reply no. And the guy never showed up he was smoking other side of restaurant and nobody came to take order we waited for 15 min nobody came to give water nobody came to take order but there was two girls on counter. They should have told us we don’t serve at this time or something else. We left without eating because nobody came to take order .I would recommend in terms of fine dining good service Jaipur restaurant which has decent food and price. I will never come here with group and won’t recommend anyone here to eat it’s ok for those who don’t care about service they can eat. I would choose somewhere who has good service and just decent food. Not taking your restaurant rude...

This used to be one of our favorite Indian restaurant in Omaha. Me and my friend were there yesterday for lunch. We got seated. As soon as we got seated the first server bought us a menu and took order our drinks. He bought us our chai and water that we ordered. We mentioned to him we were ready to order. He said ok and left. We noticed there was a second server who was the one taking order. We tried to get his attention and he waved back saying wait with his hand gesture. He went to the next table that was there after us and took their order. After that he came to us and said “can I help you maam”. I said we are ready to order, and just mentioned we were here before the other table and waiting for a while. Instead of saying “oh I didn’t notice and apologizing”. He tried to argue saying “No, they were here first, I saw them”, gave us a smirky smile and proceed to take our order. We went ahead and placed our usual order and then after a minute we decided not to dine here. We don’t want him spitting on our food. We kindly asked for our bill which was around $9.85 for 2 Chai tea and left. We will never return to this restaurant again. I would rather go to Persis or Desi Bites. They have better service...
