El Alambre Mexican Food - Millard — Restaurant in Omaha

Thought we'd try this place as it's close to home. When looking at the menu, I asked the lady if I was understanding the menu correctly that steak was the beef option...she immediately replied in a rude tone that they didn't have ground beef...and "if you want ground beef, there's a Taco Bell across the street you can go to. We're an authentic Mexican restaurant, and authentic Mexican restaurants don't serve ground beef." I didn't even ask for ground beef, so I'm not sure why she was so rude about it. We ordered items to take home and try anyway. The food seemed ok, but nothing was outstanding. About an hour after eating, I was sick....not just "oh i don't feel good"...it was terrible and included vomiting. Maybe I should have taken her advice and went to Taco Bell. We won't go back to this place. P.S. Many authentic Mexican restaurants do serve...

The people are super nice, the restaurant is clean, and the food is delicious! It is a super small place, so maybe not great for groups wanting to dine in- that's the only downside I can come up with for this place.

I am gluten intolerant and everything GF on the menu is clearly labeled. This is such a rarity at a Mexican restaurant, and it was wonderful to be able to order without fear of gluten misunderstandings.

The details are always what makes an experience great, and my favorite small detail here is that they carefully wrap each little taco in paper. It's the first time I've ever seen that done, and I wish every taco place would do it - it was much less messy to eat and all the filling stayed in...

This is a great little neighborhood taco shop. They have a wide selection of meat choices for tacos and a few unique items that I would like to come back and try. The tacos here are authentic style street tacos with two soft corn tortillas and they come with a little guac sauce on top. They're a little small but they have great flavor and go for about 2.60 each, a little cheaper on Tuesdays. The red sauce is actually less spicy then the green and has a really nice flavor.
