If I could leave zero stars, I would have. I have 2 Groupons for Firewater Grille. One coupon expires on March 20th and the other one expires on March 24th.
My husband and I went there on Thursday 3/15/18. We intended to use our Groupon that expires on 3/20/18. Groupon is good for $30.00 worth of food that was purchased 3 month ago.
Our waitress comes back with our drinks and I mention to her that we will be using a Groupon this evening. She says "We no longer accept Groupon" I said " Yes you do, I have 2 purchased current Groupons and plan on using one of them this evening and one of them before the 24th" She then informs me again that Firewater Grille is no longer accepting them and I will have to take it up with Groupon" I said "I don't have to take it up with Groupon. Maybe you guys need to, but I purchased this and I expect to use it. Plus Groupons are ALWAYS good for the face value you paid for it"
I finally asked to speak to a manager. Another gal comes over and says manager isn't there and can she help me. I again tell her the situation. I inform her we are eating here and then taking in a show this evening. She says there is basically nothing she can do about this and others have also been stuck with current Groupons. She proceeds to hand me a business card. After looking at the card, I ask her to call Lou and tell him we have a current Groupon and are expecting to use it tonight. She says she will text him. Comes back 10 minutes later "Sorry, Lou says you can't use"
I asked "What would have happened had we have ordered our food and not mentioned the Groupon until the bill?" She replied that they would not have honored it. Unbelievable.
I then request to have a hand written letter that states we are not able to use our CURRENT PAID FOR Groupon at this establishment. She leaves and comes back again in about 10 minutes with the note below.
TO LOU: You had these 2 young girls do YOUR dirty work by having them relay things back and forth from you to us. It's too bad you and Fire Water Grille are not a reputable and honorable company. The least you could have done was to get on the phone and ask one of the waitresses to hand the phone to us and you could explain why YOU will no longer honor a valid $30.00 coupon and have zero desire to make this right.
Keep in mind...I now have 2 now USELESS GROUPONS TO THE FIREWATER GRILLE in the amount totaling $60.00
What do you have now? 2 very unhappy customers who have eaten many times at this establishment . We have eaten with out Groupons and have brought others to eat with us there before. You also have 2 people who will NEVER step foot into this establishment to eat ever again and will let others know what a SHADY, GREEDY, & SPINELESS person with ZERO customer service skills runs this establishment ( that's you Lou) that had no problem running a huge Groupon only to renege on a agreement. So Groupon charged you for advertising, you took money that Groupon collected for you from us...and we have what again? Oh that's right. Nothing. 2 useless Groupons totaling $60.00
Big Shout out to Spaghetti Works for getting us in so quickly and was served a hot & delicious meal with EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. ( this was...
Read moreAfter a long day of driving, we checked in to the Comfort Inn in Omaha. We were happy to see that there was a restaurant, Firewater Grill right there in the lobby, so we wouldn't have to drive somewhere. Our waiter was Veddy, with who we enjoyed some nice conversation. We ordered some onion rings for an appetizer, and was served a very large order of crispy rings. My husband ordered the mushroom burger, and he asked if he could add mushrooms to it and Veddy said sure. I had the BLT, and asked that the bacon be cooked extra crispy, and while it wasn't as burnt as I would have liked it, it still was well cooked and very tasty. Both orders came with a generous serving of French fries. Veddy was very accommodating. The only thing my husband suggested was to saute the mushrooms when putting them on the burger. All in all, it was a nice quiet place to eat some delicious pub food after a very long day...
Read moreWe walked in and we're not greeted, I we had to ask the bar staff if we just sat ourselves which we did. Then we waited.... And waited... Finally got menus and they took our drink orders. Then we waited some more..... Came back and took our food order, and I bet you can guess we waited... And waited a very long time... The server (who was from the bar) forgot what we ordered when we told her again we waited some more... Then she tried to bring the wrong food, so we of course had to wait again.... One of us got our meal while the other one say there waiting and pretty much waited until the other person finished their meal until I got mine. No one checked on us, no one asked if we needed more drinks.. it was just alot of waiting. The...
