Subject: Food Poisoning. Something was different from my first visit to Jimmy's Egg located in Welch Plaza near 180th and Q Streets. The waitress was not smiling when she greeted us, nor did she seem to be very friendly when she took our order. I ordered biscuits and gravy, two eggs, hash browns and bacon. My friend ordered the country omelet and also biscuits and gravy. After some time our food arrived but there was a mix up because the biscuits and gravy were not served. I had to remind her about it which she promptly fetched from the kitchen. The Food was disappointing. It was nothing like the fresh and delicious food we had been served on our previous visit. This time the bacon was tough and greasy. It was overcooked and yet showed no signs of crunchiness or the char you expect when frying bacon. *The only conclusion is that the bacon was overcooked in the microwave! I had the same disappointment with the hash browns. They were chewy and greasy with no fresh potato flavor. The hash browns were not the golden color with a bit crispy crunch. Conclusion: The hash browns had also been reheated and overcooked in the microwave. The gravy with the biscuits was just bland and if it were not for all the salt there would have been no flavor at all. *Worst of all, both me and my friend experienced symptoms of food poisoning very shortly after eating at Jimmy's. She told me she had made 4 or 5 urgent visits to the restroom and I had a similar experience. I will never go back to Jimmy's Egg located near S. 180th and Q Street. Giving Jimmy's Egg one star is being far too generous. I wish I could give the place zero stars.

Our first visit, host wanted to seat us at a 6 person table (only 2 of us) so we asked for a booth, which was very comfortable and spacious! Ashley was our server and was friendly. Coffee is good, but not unique. I ordered carnita skillet with fruit, No gluten-free bread available. Skillet was made fresh and was tasty! Spouse ordered eggs Benedict with pancakes and added a side of corned beef hash(extra charge), which was all made fresh and yummy! Restaurant was clean and unique, reminded me of a clean Cafe you might see in Las Vegas, down to earth, good from scratch made food! Will visit again and worth a try if you haven't been there.

The food and service are both severely lacking. The chicken fried steak had been hammered to an eighth inch thick and that was at the thickest part (see photos). The three egg omelet was smaller than most two egg omelets. The gravy had been watered down. The overall appearance is the they are trying to cut cost by serving inferior foods for regular prices. The wait staff also weren't smiling or taking pride in the work. Sorry Jimmy, but I won't be back!

I placed an order on door dash, the app said the food would be ready for pick up at 06:25 am. I arrive at 06:25 I see on the the door that they open at 0600, but the store is completely dark and there's only one person in the store as soon as I walk in the woman tells me they aren't open I inform her that I placed a order and it supposed to be ready by now she doesn't respond and turns the lights on not to long after that another girl comes in and begins working. It is now 0635 and I am still waiting for my food. Now I've worked in restaurants before if the place opens at 0600 then the staff should be in the building prepping no later than 0530. This is unacceptable. If you cannot find staff that'll come to work on time then you need to push back the time you open and update that on all signage and applications you use. This kind of stuff rarely happens where I'm from and business who do this consistently get shut down quick in my state, but working in Nebraska I've learned that y'all don't take punctuality very seriously...

I liked how you could seat yourself, but during the breakfast rush it took several minutes before someone even came to our table. I like their variety of foods and different flavors of pancakes. I tried the Reese’s pancakes and bacon and they were both delicious. However, they forgot my bacon and had to go back and get it which took several minutes. Later on, another server came to our table carrying a second set of what we had ordered after we had already eaten our food. It seemed very rushed, so it was difficult to order a drink to go. I only saw our waitress three times total. The food was great, but I think things would go smoother if they...
