Allow me to fill you in on all things pho. Upon entering this "whole in the wall" my son and I were warmly greeted with friendly smiles and were seated quite promptly. I recall us arriving closer to their closing time so our experiences may have been influenced because of timing. Take note some criterias or expectations needing to be met and why this "first impressions" was less than favorable. First, communication was certainly an obstacle to overcome, only one server out of three spoke any English at all, so translation is to be expected if you have questions. Second, freshness of side items such as vegetables was a horrible disappointment. A party of two given minimal portions; lime wedges cut into ridiculous cubes; basil leaves partial rotted and wilted beyond acceptable; bean sprouts hardly sufficient for a party of one and table condiments such as sriracha and hoisin sauces in disarray, nothing labeled or marked. Lastly, upon receiving the order, we noticed immediately that the poor presentation and lack of attention to detail was precursor to out further disappointment. The bowl the soup came out on was oversized for the serving, noodles were over cooked beyond measure and as we had suspected, disappointment from the moment we sat down. In conclusion, we would not recommend this "whole in the wall" because it was well overpriced, freshness none to speak of and most of all, the quality of taste was horrifically indescribable! In short, stay far from this eatery, drive the extra 15-30 minutes in the opposite direction, you'll be glad you did. P.S. I haven't begun to explain the other items or lack thereof that I found not worth...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this Vietnamese restaurant and tried the Chicken Pho for the first time. As a newcomer to Vietnamese cuisine, I was eager to experience its flavors and traditions. The Chicken Pho did not disappoint; the soup was flavorful, aromatic, and had a wholesome, healthy feel to it. The broth was rich and savory, perfectly balanced with tender chicken pieces and fresh herbs.
However, there were a few aspects that could use improvement. The price of the dish was higher than what was listed on the menu, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant left something to be desired. The decor was not particularly stylish or inviting, and there's certainly room for enhancement in this area.
On a positive note, the food itself was unique and enjoyable. Alongside the Chicken Pho, I also tried the salad, which was fresh, crisp, and had a delightful mix of flavors. Despite some minor drawbacks, the quality and uniqueness of the food make this restaurant worth a visit. With a bit of attention to the pricing and ambiance, it has the potential to become a favorite spot for Vietnamese cuisine...
Read moreUpdated my review because the consistency of their service has improved dramatically. They are my favorite Pho place in town and I highly recommend them.
I want to give this place 5 stars so bad. IMO best Pho in Omaha but, it is hit or miss. I wish the portion sizes were more consistent for take out. For instance I just ordered the pho and the container with the broth was barely over half full. Most times its filled to the top. It’s disappointing because their broth is easily the best in the area, and I drive almost a half hour to get it. Didn’t even cover the the soup ingredients. Kinda big let down after driving for almost an hour. (I know, first world probs) Other times they skimp on the noodle etc. They are very nice and again I like their food and still continue to go there but I would like to see them get...
