My son was the first to comment as soon as I got home. "Mmm...smells like a good pizza." This is our first time ordering Pizza West. We had our routine setup. Drinks are on the table, an episode on Hulu, and two slices on our plate so as to keep the box closed and warm. A momentary pause overcame us at first bight and we knew, we were ordering pizza from this place again. Cheese melded between toppings and sauce atop a fine baked crust to hold everything on top together but not too thick. This is a two handed slice of pizza, and between the two us we had an appetite for a large but finished off a jumbo like we haven't had pizza in months. Now months since this post, I have been back once a week. Whether for amazing Mozzarella sticks or one of the best burgers I've had in town, I don't have to travel far from my neighborhood to enjoy a good belly full. There are plenty of places near by to choose from, but a couple of wonkey turns into Pizza West's parking, daily specials, and better service than those other places Pizza West gives you what you paid for and lots more. Don't settle for less.

Renovated from Bené's (there is no arcade now)...this spic & span family style pizza joint boasts a large party room, a salad bar that wasn't in use when we were there, a small full bar & some tvs to watch sports. They carry their own line of dipping sauces. They have a full Italian menu with apps. We had their highly recommended homemade breaded mozzarella sticks. Delicious. Since our pizza had veggies, pepperoni & extra cheese...the thinner bready crust was slightly soggy in the middle. The edges were chewy & crisp. The sauce was lightly applied & tangy (which we prefer anyway). They will add extra sauce if you want. We both agreed the cheese is very good! (Fresh, thick, rich). There was plenty of friendly waitstaff but extremely slow service even tho it was slow with 1 party. But everyone was happy. The wait to be seated sign was unnecessary...as the layout is open & the staff are slow to seat. We sat ourselves.

Previously I would have said this was one of, if not the best, pizza places in town but everything is different now, and awful. This is the second time since change of ownership we have been there. The first time was atrocious and the owner was kind enough to refund our money. We decided to give it another try a few months later and it’s worse. The food is overly salty and flavorless. The pizza has hardly any sauce and the edible hulk didn’t even have buffalo sauce on it. Everything about this place is terrible. Over priced beyond belief and some of the worst pizza in Omaha. The service is also horrible with our waiter just hanging out behind the counter eating pizza. The place screams incompetence l.

Last Monday night, had a lot of family in town for a relative's birthday. Wanted to just take a break from the large heavy dinners we had been sharing and decided to go for pizza. Family was in from Seattle, Iowa, Atlanta,Texas, lots of opinions! My husband and I decided on Bene's as we have always loved their pizza. Ages ranged from 10 yrs. old to 90. To sum up the feeling of everyone, "The Best Pizza Ever!!" We have all had our share of pizza around the world, Italy included. My brother, age 65 from Atlanta, even went in back with the owner to see how they do it. He said he could not believe how perfectly the pizza was made as well as the combinations and freshness of the ingredients. I know it sounds like a lot of hoop-la over pizza, but this stuff is great, and all my family wanted me to be sure I wrote an excellent review. There were 28 of us I believe that night, and they are still talking about it. Honestly, my sister from Atlanta said on the phone last night she wishes she could order it on-line. Anyway, as you can see, we can't say enough!! Also, the owner could not have been nicer, we even have him in some of our pictures! I have only written one other restaurant review in my life, and it was not for a...

We went to Pizza West on a Saturday evening. We were disappointed to find out there was no salad bar that night, but decided to give it a try anyway. It was a little before 5PM, so it was not terribly busy. After being seated we waited more than 15 minutes for someone to get our drink order. Only after we had finished round one of drinks and ordered our food, were we informed (after inquiring) that there were no working restrooms. We should have had that information up front. I get that plumbing issues arise, but one staff member said the plumbers had been working for over an hour with no resolve--why wouldn't you tell people that before seating them?! I asked one staff member (not our server) if there was a backup plan since my two-year-old was not going to make it. She rolled her eyes, huffed and said "I DON'T KNOW," then walked off. We ended up having to take him to the side of the building (in February) to go potty. I would have to think no working restrooms for nearly two hours (or more?) is encroaching on a health code violation.

Honestly, I think the food was probably pretty good (hence the two stars)... but the poor service coupled with the clear lack of communication and no WORKING RESTROOMS...

I went to Pizza West to celebrate a friend's birthday party. Let me start off by saying the food was terrific. The service was absolutely horrible. She had rented the party room and the waitress came in and took our orders. There were 15 or so of us and the food started coming out about 20 minutes later. I did not recieve my order with the others and the waitress didn't return to check up on anybody. I sat there for another 20 minutes before she came back. She said she would check up on it and was a bit rude about it. The manager came out with my food and said that they were having trounle with the printer dropping orders. I was not upset about it because it happens. They did comp my meal. I was more upset by the waitress who refused to contunue to serve us. She never once came back to offer refills or see how everything was going. The place closes at 10:30 as well and at 10:00 they started puttong all the chairs on the table as well, seems a bit premature if they are open for another half hour. I just found the service rude and unprofessional. I can't say that I would honestly recommend the place, especially if that is the kind of service they have for...
