I was disappointed in my experience the last few times I've gone. My family and I have been going to TRH for years! Used to be a favorite to spend birthdays and just quality time. They have gone downhill these last few years. The most recent time, we walked in. Have all but 1 person in our party, who was less than 5 min away. We showed up about 430-445 to beat the rush. This is the first time EVER they have made us "wait until your whole party was here" before you would be seated. So, we went to stand on one of the numbers waiting for our last person-where 3 other parties did the exact same thing. We were told we were not allowed to stand there. When we asked for clarification, the hostes was very rude and told us "that is the rule and to just follow it." We stepped back. At this point, a rush of people came through the door, probably about 5 or 6 groups. Coincidentally, the elderly member of our party showed up-our final member. So, we went and stood on a number since our whole party was there. The hostes became flustered and rude and called a manager. We told the manager the whole situation and that our final member was there. She told us we needed to wait in line behind all.of the other groups that had just arrived. We were, understandably, upset that we would have had to wait a significantly longer amount of time. We pushed back a little (respectfully) stating how irritating and frustrating the whole situation was, and the manager blew us off. She said, just wait until you last party member is here and we can seat you. Again, we reiterated that our whole party was here! Give it another 15 min before we were seated. The waitress asked if we were waiting on another guest and we were baffled. She explained that the party number was 6, when we only had 5 guests. We explained to her what happened and even she was shocked! She said she has never heard of that rule before and they seat her section all the time when the whole party is not there. Once we were seated, the service was a little slow. That is to be expected with how busy it was. But, they were rushing us the moment we got our food. The waitress was very apologetic and told us her managers make them rush tables to get the turnover of guests.
Texas roadhous use to be a preferred establishment. However, I would rather go to Longhorn or Firebirds and pay a little more for better quality service. Texas roadhouse does NOT care about their customer. They care about the money and how fast they can turnover customers. Not to mention, it was one of our party member's birthdays (yes, we told the waitress) and nothing was done for her. Needless to say, we will probably not...
Read moreMy family and I eat at Texas Roadhouse often. We usually eat at the Council Bluffs location, and it never disappoints. Tonight, we were in the area so we decided to eat at 156th location. We were greeted with a smile and sat immediately. Greeted immediately also. We ordered drinks and an app. The drinks took 7-10 minutes to get to us. Which is silly because it was 2 waters and 2 chocolate milks. The server then took our order. I ordered the chicken tenders for my one year old baby, and the server brought the Ranger Critters which is $9.99 and meant for a bigger child. Our fried pickles were so salty we couldn’t eat them. My husband ordered the boneless wings for his meal and a salad. The boneless wings looked like someone had eaten half of them before they made it to the table, they didn’t taste good either. I ordered ribs, green beans and a sweet potato, not loaded, but was charged $1.29 for butter and brown sugar , it feels like our server was more concerned about higher sales than good service. To make things worse, our server, Karen did not pre-bus at all. Not one plate was taken off of our table. Ask the bussers, I’m sure they will confirm.
I worked at Texas Roadhouse in Papillion for 4 years. I can’t believe this is the service that is given now. I can say as a bartender/server still, Texas Roadhouse is set up to be an easy and fun place to work. Our service was terrible. I work in a very busy Irish Pub now, where our capacity is 177 people and there are only 2 of us in the front of house and 2 in the back, and we never give service like this. We don’t limit seating either and we have a full bar and menu.
The service was bad and the food was also terrible. Burnt ribs, and dirty dishes. Perhaps it’s a poor managing partner. Moving forward our family will stick to Council Bluffs Texas Roadhouse. Spending $80 before tip for a family of four, after a terrible experience is unacceptable. I understand things haven’t gone back to normal since the pandemic. But if we can make it work, why can’t a place with a ton of employees not make it work. Prices have gone up, and quality and service have gone down. It’s sad really. Doesn’t seem like anyone is accountable anymore. Texas Roadhouse is...
Read moreOn September 19, 2025. I visited your restaurant in Omaha Nebraska with my family a party of 6 which included four children ages 17, 13, 12, 3, and 1. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling disregarded as customers. I am writing to document what occurred: • 5:25 PM: I was placed on the waitlist and told there would be a 30–40 minute wait. • 6:07 PM: I was called inside. My family and I stood along the wall for approximately 10 minutes before being seated at 6:20 PM. During this time, my children understandably became restless. • 6:20 PM: Once seated, the waiter promptly took our drink order. I explained that we had already waited an hour and that we were ready to place all six entrée orders immediately. Four adult entrées and two children’s meals. • 7:15 PM: After waiting nearly another hour without food, I approached a manager. My older children, now frustrated, went to wait by the entrance. I explained our situation, but the manager did not appear to investigate. Shortly after, I watched as the busser cleared our table and another party was seated in our place. All while my family and I was still waiting.
The manager handed me three $15, guest satisfaction, coupons, which were both insufficient given that I had six meals ordered and unhelpful. When I asked about our food, she admitted she hadn’t checked since she was told we were leaving, something I never said. No effort was made to remedy the situation, such as offering to expedite or package our food to go.
In total, we wasted over two hours at your restaurant. Instead of enjoying a meal together, we left frustrated, hungry, and feeling dismissed. What was to be a quick meal as we were heading out of town for a week, early in the morning turned into a circus. To add to the frustration, the coupons provided are limited to “one per dine-in visit, per table,” which does nothing to make up for this experience for my 5 children and myself.
I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and am requesting a more appropriate resolution. At minimum, I expect compensation that reflects the six entrées we ordered and the poor service we endured.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to your...
