Chester's Chicken — Restaurant in Onawa

Really tried to give this fair review. I stop in here several times a year as an OTR truck driver and tonight stopped before the ice storm landed. I wanted to get some hot chicken at 5pm - the start of dinner rush or so I thought.

Very little chicken was ready to sell, and what was available was stale old, and more importantly- NOT at proper serving temperature. All three pieces of tenders were barely warm while dining in, and the side of mash potatoes was also not at a proper temp for food service hot holding standard. This is critical for food service safety and prevention of bacteria growth.

Avoid this place. Unsafe food preparation...

Even been here a few times and I haven't been able to satisfy my hunger. The younger 2 gentleman look like they hate there job. They never have enough of anything. Experience...
