Tacos y Mariscos La Gloria — Restaurant in Ontario

When I barely moved here in Ontario as most would do I looked up the best Mexican restaurants nearby and this one popped up. I ordered 2 cócteles de camarón and 2 carne asada tacos and 1 pollo taco. I came in thinking this place seems small and quaint I don’t think this place would be so expensive. When the cashier told me the total I was like Bruh…. For everything I ordered it came up to like 60$ I was left standing there like…. For this price the food better be good and by good I mean bomb. Well… man was I so disappointed I already had a feeling this place was gonna be average/below average. This is not authentic Mexican flavored food probably a watered down version. The cocteles barely had any shrimp and they had so much chopped onion it honestly tasted of ketchup, shrimp water and cebolla. The shrimp was super over cooked as I ate it on top of a tostada it would like melt away. The carne asada on the tacos was pretty dry BUT the flavoring was alright and the pollo was just plain gross. No flavor I ended up giving it to my dog. I truly don’t know how this place was in my recommendation probably because I live nearby but nope wouldn’t recommend this place to nobody. Delicious! I had driven this place many times over the years and was always curious as to how the food was. About a week ago, I was in the neighborhood and wanted to try a local spot that I hadn't tried before. The place is small with 8 booths for seating and has a salsa bar with complimentary delicious frijoles charros (I like to add some hot sauce and onion for enhanced flavors). I ordered the Asada Wet Burrito and I was instantly hooked. Burritos are big snd evenly proportioned with beans, refried beans and your choice of protein, each bite is soooo good. 4 stars because as a Mexican who is speaks English I would like to have the choice to change TV we were the only ones. The ceviche tostada was more then plenty but it was not bitter or tangy and needed some flavor lemon pepper and limes some celery or something to give it crunch. But as a whole they give you alone for 3 tostada and the fish is fresh and firm clean no bones or scales I literally had the spine bone in mine.
