Hibachi Sushi Grill & Buffet — Restaurant in Opelika

We were in the mood to eat Chinese not just eat but gorge ourselves at a all you can eat buffet. I also had to buy a couple of dress shirts due to unforseen circumstances with work. Not familiar with the Auburn- Opelika area we went to Beals at the Auburn Mall and on our way there we spotted Hibachi Sushi Grill & Buffet and decided to give it a try after going to the mall. When it comes to Chinese Buffets the items are pretty much all the same no matter where you go from Annapolis to Auburn Ocean City to Opelika. There are 2 types of Chinese Buffet Restaurants good ones and bad ones. Hibachi Sushi is a good one. As soon as you walk in you can tell they take pride in their restaurant. Kind and courteous employees tend to your needs with out being intrusive. The buffet was well stocked with fresh hot and cold items. If you can't find something to your liking then your a pickey eater and should stay home. The food and service were awful. Some of the food felt barely warm, with no traditional sauces available, i.e. duck sauce or mustard sauce. The fried shrimp had no flavor. The roasted salmon did not taste like salmon but tasted rotten. The only food that tasted good was the lo mein. Everything else was just meh. The service was just absolute garbage. The guy who seated us was rushed to take our drinks before we even sat in our seats. When I asked for a booster seat, he hardly looked at me and snapped his finger in the direction for me to get it. Do NOT drink the water!!! It's disgusting and tastes earthy. No one ever came back to ask if we needed anything, so I couldn't even order a different drink. If I could give this place a ZERO, I would.

I have never ate worse food and never experienced worse service like what I experienced...

I wanted to take my family out to eat. We planned on going to hibachi. As I walked in the waiter was rude. Took her 45 minutes to bring me something to drink. When I ask for hot sauce there was like no no no like I was in the wrong I had to go across the street to a gas station to get hot sauce. They did not have no crackers for the crab legs. When my son went to the grill to get food the guy was not wearing no gloves went to the back with his food saying he's putting butter on it. However when I asked 5 minutes before they say they had no butter. I don't understand how you go from having butter to not having butter and within 5 minutes. If I'm going to be honest you're better off going to McDonald's 5 minutes up the road. If you're looking to have a family experience do not come here. Wish I could...
