Old Mill Country Kitchen — Restaurant in Opelika

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt bc I showed up at 130p when they close at 2p, but at the same time - that meal really sucked. I had a burger with speckled butter beans as my side. I took two bites of the burger - the Patty was an old hockey puck that tasted like it had been cooked three days ago. Thick patty that was crunchy...eww. I only made it through on bite of the butter beans: 100% flavorless mush. I am southern and we use salt and pepper at least - usually with a ham or bacon element for flavor. Nope. Just bland mushy beans. Hard pass....

Called at 10:15 AM to order a cheeseburger. The little girl that answered the phone refused to take my order! Said they weren’t making burgers until 10:30. The website does not say anything about that at all. She was not nice just answered the phone like “Hello” lol like she’s answering her cell phone! If she WORKS THERE wasn’t she suppose to say “thank you for calling _ My name is _ “How may I help you?” They need to replace...

Food was really good. There were only 2 servers working the whole restaurant. We didn't get our coffe refills until we walked over to the counter to ask for some. Nothing against the server she could only do so much but to the owner maybe hire a part timer for the weekend brunch. IDK if its the acoustics in the restaurant but it is really loud in there, I couldn't even hear my thoughts. I had the hash bowl, very tasty but...
