Read moreAbsolutely THE BEST cracklins, in a 100 mile radius, that I know of from this area! Update 12.15.18: Five Stars to One ~ The above, sadly, is no longer true. The cracklins are over cooked, dry, and if it weren't for the Homsi's flavoring, they would be no better than everyone else out there. They used to be a golden to bronze color with the meat on them being flavorful and good to eat, but now the skins look blistered with the meat being darkened, so dry that it almost pulls the moister out of your mouth. The two young ladies, that used to work there and care about the cracklins, have not been replaced with anyone that can do it to the level that I loved to brag about this store. I still return to the store hoping that someone will get it right, again, which there are probably others like me hoping the same. I will update this, again, if they ever return to the glorious cracklins...

I went to the front door saw someone in the kitchen then went to the drive-thru got their attention and asked what time do you open, he said 730, I said your open sign is on as I wanted to ask if I could order something if anything was ready. He simply looked away walked to the front turned off the sign and walk straight back into the kitchen without acknowledging me. That's all I need to know about this place. I'll stop at the Studebaker at the 92 exit and get the boudin there in Louisiana or either Billy's Boudin & cracklins a little further down the road....UPDATE... the owner returned my call and apologized and I feel it was genuine, and he expressed regret and a genuine empathy for me as a customer. and that is enough for me I will be going...
