Waffle House — Restaurant in Orange

visited the location at 2310 Texas 52 in Orange. Upon entering no acknowledgement, tables dirty everyone behind the counter, no one cleaning tables. After waiting 10 minutes a cook Michael started to clean the bar area, he then asked if we wanted a booth, since all booths were taken we decided to sit at the bar area. He took our drink order and told us I waitress would be with us shortly. After a few more minutes Michael came with our drinks and also took our food order. He then went back to cooking. When our food was ready Michael the served us and asked was there anything else we needed. A few minutes later there was a ticket placed in front of us with the name Skye on it. ( who is Skye?) Things were going halfway good until a waitress Heather decided to wash dishes, which wasn't a problem. The problem was when she sprayed them it not only sprayed the dishes but it sprayed us and our FOOD. She continued to do this until I mention that it was getting on our food and then she said "sorry." My husband asked the manager (Jessica) to step to our area and told her that he would like his food redone because of the dirty dish water and her remark was I'll get you another plate and " You know this is the dish washing area." So I guess being in the same area where they wash dishes made it okay for the water to be sprayed not only on us but on our food. Worst experience I have ever had at Waffle House!!! The staff all acted like it was their first day, food was cold and was charged for stuff they were out of, the lady I’m guessing won the intelligence contest and was deemed the manager was watching videos, very loudly, on her phone and couldn’t be bothered enough to pay attention when we were paying for our food. We gave her two bills and exact change and she handed us our change as if we didn’t have exact change, so on top of being charged for stuff they were out of she still shorted us at the register. Maybe because her video was more important and playing to loud for her to focus on her job enough to do it correctly. Oh and don’t even try to call the phone number because all it does is direct you to the website to place an order, no other options are available. The website leads you to believe you can voice a complaint but it shuts you down as well. The steak and eggs is no longer a T-bone it is now a poor excuse for a New York strip, like maybe a 1/16 in thick. just a heads up in case you were considering...

During my visit here in Orange, TX. My girlfriend took me to this Wafflehouse to eat. To begin, Our server, Angie greeted us with a hearty and welcoming hello which automatically gave us a heartwarming welcoming. Angie took our order and provided us with delicious and fresh coffee. Our food was quickly brought to us and was made exactly as we ordered. The waffle, eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns were cooked at the right temp and was absolutely great!

Angie was very tentative, friendly and made sure our coffees never got low or cold! She also did an amazing job keeping up with the other customers and making them smile. I also want to recognize the rest of the morning crew that worked between 11/7 through 11/10. All of the employees did an excellent job keeping up with the customers and providing excellent service / food. They all deserve recognition for an amazing job well done.
