Alright, listen. Cupidos Bar and Restaurant – let me tell ya, this place is somethin' else. Now, back in the day, this neighborhood didn’t have spots like this. Nah, it was more of a “grab a slice and a soda” kinda joint. But now? Wow. I walk in and it’s like I’ve just been transported to a vibrant Spanish oasis right here in my old stomping grounds.

First off, the music. Top notch. The DJ knew exactly what he was doing, dropping bangers left and right. You wouldn’t believe it – when “Gasolina” came on, the whole place just about lost its mind. I’m telling you, it was electric. You could feel the bass in your bones. And the light show? They weren’t kidding around. Lights flashing, smoke machines pumping – it was like a nightclub straight outta downtown but right here, keeping it real.

The bartenders – class acts. Sweet, attentive, and sharp as a tack. You know how some places, you practically have to wave ‘em down like you’re hailing a cab on Broadway? Not here. These folks were on it. I ordered my usual – tequila with ginger ale. Crisp, smooth, just the right kick. The kind of drink that makes you close your eyes and just appreciate life for a minute.

Now, I was there pretty late, so I didn’t get around to the food. But lemme tell ya, I’m definitely trying it next time. The people next to me were chowing down on wings that looked so good I almost leaned over to ask for a taste. Big, saucy, crispy – everything a good wing should be.

And look, I gotta say – I love what this neighborhood’s become. It’s changed, sure, but in a good way. Beautiful people, great energy – it’s like a little slice of Latin nightlife right here where I grew up. It’s not the old days, but I’m not mad about it. Quite the opposite. I’m proud.

My friends and I just left the this place, we had a waitress that couldn’t properly take the order and persisted in messing it up. To top off we were splitting the bill so each can pay our share and the waitress refuses to allow us to pay separately demanded we paid in one card. Mind you we are college students on a budget with cards and we had to figure out on how to this . It was embarrassing and frustrating to deal with this. We all had our money but the full amount had to be paid in ONE card according to our waitress which the bill said to be called Megan. We are never coming back and will make sure our friends are aware of this uncomfortable situation. We wanted to enjoy a nice evening and celebrate our friends birthday and instead we all left upset...

DONT USE YOUR CARD !!! I went with a group of 6 people where everyone left a generous amount of tip in cash I paid for my bill with my card and put $0 in the tip section because I left a $10 tip in cash, a couple days later a tip of an additional $10 was charged to my card. When I reached out to the owner about this unauthorized transaction he seemed to care on our first phone call and then never reached out to me again. No refund no excuse no explanation just ignored.
