Orange House Cafe — Restaurant in Orange

I frequent this coffee shop a lot especially since they open and are relatively new. I have tried most items on their menu, if not all by now.

Some of my favorite ms include the chocolate croissant, 4 fruit tea, the vegan empanada, and the green smoothie. I especially love that they serve fresh orange juice of various size. I appreciate it that the staff goes the extra mile to remove the cheese from the sandwiches whenever I order a sandwich as I try to avoid dairy products as much as possible.

The staff is really nice and bilingual which is helpful for folks who also speak Spanish. When I come to the cafe, i tend to stay many hours and on occasion till closing. Some times I am one of many customers in the establishment doing work or just sitting solo in the dining area as well.

The reason for removing one star from my review is due to the level of the music and so many younger customers not using headphones when using their personal electronic devices. There have been several times when younger patrons will listen to music, YouTube videos and other things from their mobile devices at very loud levels that’s can be heard from across the room, even with me wearing headphones.

I once asked a fellow customer if he can lower the volume of his music (which he was not listening to using headphones) and he just made the music louder and proceeded to walk around the cafe shop on FaceTime and music playing. I don’t have a problem with people listening to whatever they want but between tbe surround sound system y’all have and their music and even when i put on my own headphones to drown out the sound of the environment it’s very loud!

Anyways, i will continue to patron this business but i hope that my review can be taken into consideration when it comes to...

I came here for the first time today and as someone who has high enough standards, this place was amazing. How hard can it be to find a place with good coffe, pastries and atmosphere? To be honest, around East orange-newark, it's pretty hard. I got a pistachio croissant and an ice caramel macchiato. They were both great. The croissant was super fresh, and the pistachio creme they put inside of it was really tasty too. The coffee was not too sweet, not too milky or not too strong but just perfect for me. Besides these, they gave everyone a shot orange juice which was obviously fresh and not a store bought one. The place itself is pretty calm, but I went on a Wednesday so I don't know about the weekends. My only criticism is that the way they serve the ice drinks and food is not super user-friendly. Like they put the pastries into a box even if you eat it there, and i understand the purpose of it but i think if you get something creamy it is not easy to eat and it gets really messy. Also, it might be just me, but it was not really comfortable to drink from the cup because it feels like the lid is gonna open, but of course it didn't happen. Except for these details, everything was great. I will definitely be back here soon, I hope they keep doing...

I would like to take a moment to leave an honest review for Orange House Café. I discovered this place when browsing in the area, already in search for a comfortable location where I can reflect, read, and do work on my laptop. The location is directly across from the Orange Station, and within the Linc32 luxury building. A safe and quiet community within a community. The inside of the Café is beautiful. I am attracted to softness and all things elegant with detail; and the artificial plants hanging from the ceiling is a vibe. The table and chairs with board games is thoughtful. We all love a comfortable restroom, and I thought the pennies on the restroom floors is creativity at best. The decoration overall is top quality. The staff at the time was Kendall and Marco, fine men with the best personality and service oriented. I had the Peanut Butter Blast, and let me share that I will always purchase this item. I also, taste tested their fresh Orange Juice and it was beyond a great experience.

I do apologize for the length. When I get the opportunity to experience something great, I just love to share with the Community.
