Hong Kong Express Chinese Food — Restaurant in Orange

I have been a long time customer since the original owners. This Hong Kong Express has always had delicious food, generous portions and excellent prices. The new owners have done a wonderful job in keeping the restaurant food and prices as perfect as the first owners. They are always friendly and they remember their customers. They have a lot of customers but there is never a long wait. Be aware they are closed on the weekends. But the husband and wife who own it totally deserve their time off. Avoid. Chow mein was unflavorful noodles with hardly anything else in them. Teriyaki chicken had a large amount of Chinese 5 spice on them which I've never had teriyaki chicken like that before and I crunched down on a bone. It was $15 for a 2 item combo and a drink, overpriced. I ate my food there. The place has no AC, only a fan on the counter and while I was sitting eating I could hear the cook in the back coughing and spitting multiple times. Decided to try this place again. It had been a few years. We ordered the family meal $34.99, feeds 4-5. It comes with 3 entrees, rice, chow mein, egg rolls & egg flower soup. Ordered Orange Chicken, broccoli beef & mushroom chicken. They were out of bbq pork and fish. Decent portions. Good seasoning, not the best, but was really good.
