BE AWARE OF ANY WORMS 🪱 IN YOUR FOOD!!! Today I went to get some tacos and as I was sitting down to start eating I noticed a green thing moving on it, it almost looked like a piece of cilantro stalk but realized it was a worm🤢 I immediately got up turn around and let the lady know behind the counter and asked for my money back. She said it was a worm from the cilantro, apologized and asked if I wanted anything else and I told her no because anything I get I would like cilantro on it, so definitely NOT! She was very apologetic and tried to justify it and went to say they wash the cilantro really well but obviously not well enough that I got a worm in my cilantro.
I also bought a pineapple 🍍agua Fresca because I read they're "made in house from scratch" they might make it there but IT IS NOT FROM SCRATCH. It taste just like canned pineapple, THAT'S NOT SCRATCH! I can taste the difference between fresh and canned pineapple, it's a very mediocre pineapple flavor.
They refunded my order and drove to Taqueria Los Gueros in Anaheim where the tacos are cheaper and have a salsa bar where you put your own cilantro, salsa (all the salsa you want without being charge for extra), all the radishes, cucumbers and the best part all the cebollitas y serranos asados you want to put in your plate 🍽 😉
Way better deal and no worms in...
Read moreGreat traditional Mexican tacos. Flavors are similar to those of a Taqueria actually in Mexico (without the flies and questionable food poisoning that is almost standard in Mexico). This place is clean, well maintained, open 24 hours, and I have been going here for over 25 years, it doesn't look old. The only changes have been that they keep getting larger and take over the store fronts next to them. They also have added Burritos and Egg Breakfast burritos.
The traditional meats like Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo, are excellent, but are supplemented with Lengua, Buche, and Cesos. I like the Lengua tacos (better then you might think if you can get over English translation), the Horchata (cinnamon rice drink) is also pretty good. Tacos are soft, small corn tortillas about 3 inches. Ordering 1 is not enough, 2 is for people who have already eaten, 3-4 is a light meal, 5-6 is a medium meal and what most people end up with after going to counter a couple times. 7-10 tacos will fill up, the hungry,...
Read moreThis taco establishment has a bakery attached to it. I went on a Thursday at 5 pm to buy donuts. However, there was no sign of the place being closed for the day. The glass displayed was full of donuts and other pastries. I rang the bell that was on top of the cabinet. No one was present, I looked at the taco staff across the way. A male employee made eye contact with which at the same time he rudely displayed physical throat cutting hand signal with a spatula. I was taken by surprised , that displayed was followed with a female cashier yelling across the room "IT'S CLOSED" Keep in mind there were no signs or any indication it was closed to start with. Maybe the facility can better address this confusion as it was handled very unprofessional and disrespectful in front of...
