Mugs & Muffins Cafe — Restaurant in Orange

First time trying Mugs & Muffins & it did not disappoint! 😍

I got the Iced Island Coconut Mocha with Oat Milk & Coconut Cold Foam. I love that it wasn’t too sweet & had a silkiness to it. I want to try all the combinations but this might be my regular! 🤤

I also got a croissant sandwich & what’s so exciting for me is they have turkey bacon. I have a red meat allergy so I’m usually super limited but I got a REAL sandwich! Turkey bacon(crunchy and good!), provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, red onion, & pickles(those pickles were smacking btw). 10/10 🩷🥐

And last but not least, it was such a sweet, calm, happy environment. Everyone was so welconing! Someone even held the door for us leaving & well, honestly, stuff like that doesn’t happen much these days. Everyone working was super friendly & kind! I LOVE the fact that they have a side room for kids because I got to sit in there with my baby & enjoy my meal. My baby also likes it in there, she was looking around smiling so much! Although an obvious amount of care has been taken in creating Mugs and Muffins Cafe ambiance, the food was awful. I notice that almost all the 29 reviews of this cafe mention ONLY the drinks - almost no mention at all of the food. My husband had a large late (pretty good) and an egg with vegetables sandwich there this morning. He reported that the bread was barely warm, the egg was cold and the spare amount of vegetables in the sandwich were raw. My husband is not difficult to please, so I was amazed to hear what he had to say. Evidently, the care taken in the kitchen with cooking is poor. - Although we had really looked forward to trying a new restaurant in our home town of Madison, Va.m it is safe to say we will never visit again. As someone who lives off of and loves coffee, this is the perfect addition to the community. The staff are friendly and authentic. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, especially for someone with kids, they have their own little room to explore here. I’m so excited to be a regular at this new establishment and hope the community sees the potential...
