Sarrah's Cafe Trinbago — Restaurant in Orange

I am extremely disappointed with my first and last experience with Sarrah's Cafe! I called early in the morning on a weekday to put in a large order. I wanted to make sure I would be able to get everything I wanted. I picked up the food at 5:30 PM. I was charged about $80 for an oxtail combo meal, a stew chicken combo meal, a goat combo meal, a shrimp combo meal, two doubles and a bussup. I did smell a foul order shortly after picking up the food but I ignored it figuring I just received the food. I was planning to propose to my girlfriend the next day and I wanted to surprise her with all her favorite foods. I decided to get some of her favorite Caribbean dishes from Sarrah's. I refrigerated all the food once I got home that same day. The following day I took the food to our destination and we went to warm it up that night. Upon emptying the containers in pots to warm up, we smelled the same order. All the food was spoiled! I was upset that this put a black mark on such a special occasion. The roti, bake & saltfish and doubles are great. Aloo pies are good. Never had polouri since they don’t seem to have when I go. I won’t get stressed out too much by how they talk to people as that’s how Caribbean’s are, it takes a long time for people to assimilate to a different cultural norm, trust me I know I’m trini. The problem for me with them is almost every time I go my order is usually messed up. I don’t even know what their prices are for things which should be made clear with menus or posted on their wall. Also when I pay with card the prices are not broken down per item so I don’t know what I’m being charged extra for. Like today I ordered 5 doubles, 4 roti but 2 with mango & pumpkin, 1 with just potatoes and the other potatoes and pumpkin, a side of buss up shot & bake & saltfish. Total $85 with tax $90.63. It seems like a lot but I’m ok with the price except I don’t know what I was charged for and how much extra am I paying for other items. Next time I’m writing my orders down so I get...

Food is great ,older people amazing but but but the young lady is very very rude called me a liar and was very disrespectful to me I don’t no what I did to her but clearly she was happy working there ,seems like she’s the owner daughter and she felt like she can speak to paying customers any which way she felt like it ….I’m going to help them out by posting this up on my ig and Facebook and make sure this place gets a bad review because of the disrespectful young lady at the front counter …trust me I never give a bad review but this one needs attention ….side note I will not be buying not sending people to them anymore I’m a big West Indian influencer of this Community and I will see to it that this place loose because of this young disrespectful lady at the front the way she treat customer not just me but everyone the way she speaks and she thing just because I do t look trini I don’t understand wat...
