This place was recommended for a large party I was hosting. Im glad I chose another venue. The service was ok. The venue inside is nice, i guess.

When we were there (Friday night), it was dead. We livened it up.

I'm guessing that the low lighting is set up this way so you can't see your food or read the bill. The marqurita was served in a very, very, very, very tiny glass. I ordered two to make up for awful food. Two of the four of us sent our food back @$263+tip! All but one of us actually thought the food wasn't terrible. I ordered the linguine and claim sauce, which I returned because it literally looked like it came from out of a can. I tasted about 1/2 a teaspoon it didn't taste much better. I never, ever return food to the kitchen. I then ordered the penne pasta to go. It tasted almost like macaroni and cheese from a Kraft box. Except Kraft is actually better. Even my spouse, who isn't as picky, passed on it after trying it. I finally threw it in the garbage. It was yuck!

How this place is rated as 4.5 is a mystery to me. I think most folks either aren't particular or dont know what great italian food taste like, or they ordered something else the FOUR of us didn't. Maybe the chef called out for the day. Either way. I can cook way better Italian than this. Bottomline, this was the worst Italian food I have ever had well ever...from NJ/NY to Italy!

I should have chosen Marios Tutto Bene in Union. Their food and drinks are excellent. I catered an event with Mario's. If you have discriminating taste buds, just don't!

Were so happy with the night we had at Bella Italia last night. We decided to have our wedding reception here because we had our first date here in 1998. Every single moment Sal was right there making sure things went flawlessly. He was very attentive as was everyone there. We were really made to feel very special. He even allowed us to extend our party another hour. My husband, his family and friends have had many parties here since the 90s so we’re not new to Bella Italia and we have been coming here so long for obviously good reasons. The food was over the top delicious! If you’ve ever been here and claim the food was sub par, you don’t know Italian. My guests are still texting about the food.. In addition to that, Sal sent us home with allllll the leftovers! And my entire cake! I mean sure I paid for it all BUT I have worked in many places myself and ate the extra food for dinner break and enjoy the cake...which is fine because I got to enjoy it too lol but not here! I have been to Bella Italia for both private dinners and banquets - Bella Italia delivers. Sal and his staff go over and above to serve some of the best Italian food with a delightful staff accomodating all needs whether special dietary requirements or just delicious dishes. Just yesterday I put together a cousins get together for 20 and most have never been there before coming from New York Pennsylvania and Jersey shore All left Raving and wanting to come back for more and bring rest of family from all over US to share in Bella Italia hospitality. We had family style meal with apps of antipasto meatballs house salad and stuffed artichokes - pasta was cavatelli and broccoli and entrees of salmon, veal Marsala chicken francaise and eggplant rollatine Finishing with delectable Italian pastries plus.
