Java Rock of Terrebonne — Restaurant in Oregon

Worst experience and worthy enough for me to speak up. If I were the owner I would want to know. I tried calling twice to share it verbally rather than publicly but no option to leave a VM. So I’m forced to share this with the world, in hopes that the owner receives the message. On 9/4 We stopped by to grab us a coffee and a muffin for my grandson since he was hungry and we wouldn’t be home for 20 more minutes. The gal was pleasant but the guy sitting behind her had an angry look on his face. It was odd but it only turned uncomfortable when He handed me the muffin with a scowl look on his face. He made it very clear he didn’t want to be there let alone help a customer. The muffin happened to be frozen so I reluctantly asked if he could please warm it and he snatched the muffin like I was putting him out with a disgusted look on his face. He handed it back to me and it was now scorching hot. My 3 yr old grandson wasn’t happy but he handled it like a champ, waiting patiently for it to be edible. I would not want this kind of atmosphere for my customers. He was less than professional and down right rude. This behavior is a gross disrespect to the owner. Both coffees were disgusting and tasted like warm milk. She needs more coaching. Needless to say, I did not tip and I will never return. I use to go there periodically when driving from Sisters to Madras and I use to love it. Now I will go...

I'm pretty picky about my coffee places but I LOVE Java rock. So much so that I haven't even tried the other coffee place down the street yet!

Granted I don't go there for coffee to be honest... There coffee is fine (I have tried it) but I've been burnt out on coffee now in general for awhile. Instead, I get their red bull smoothies which is sooo good!!!

I also go there for the food! Good easy, decent, and fairly priced lunch option!

They actually have fairly Hearty breakfast burritos with German and Cajun sausage options even.. mm. It has like mashed potatoes instead of hasbrowns though which is new to me! I wouldn't have thought it to be good but it really is pretty tasty, I definitely don't mind.

The danishes are AMAZING when warmed up.

And their parfaits are made from very fresh ingredients. Made similar to other parfaits but somehow waaay better. I think the yogurt might even be Tillamook yogurt? And the berries are perfect.

Java Rock has the absolute best coffee in central Oregon. I used to be a Dutch Bros nut but Java Rock far surpasses anything I've ever gotten from Dutch bro.
