We have eaten at many Mo's locations. Today's experience was a trainwreck from start to finish. There were only 4 tables including ours. Took 20 min to get our drinks. They forgot my 3 y/o's apple juice. 10 more minutes and they brought us lemonade because there wasn't any apple juice. Not a big deal, but he won't drink lemonade so we asked for water. 10 more minute wait.

Our food did not all come out at the same time (table of 5). We had 2 orders of shrimp skewers and both were cold, hard, and rubbery. They came with mashed potatoes which seemed watery and gross. Our son's grilled cheese wasn't fully cooked and was flat as a pancake. Our chowder wasn't great (even though Mo's usually has the best) and only 1/3 orders came with the bread. We ordered 1 order of cheese toast which took 3 tries to get. Took 3-4 tries to get ketchup and straws.

Luckily we came in 2 vehicles, because after waiting for probably 45 min+ for subpar food, we waited for over 20-30 min for the check. Eventually, we sent my husband, nephew, and our 3 y/o home in one car and my sister and I waited to pay. When we finally got the check, it was all on one tab even though we had specifically told the server we were on two tickets prior to ordering, and he had written it down as 2 separate orders. When my sister pointed out that we needed two checks, he gave us a lot of rude attitude because we should have told him sooner. Um, we totally did. Before we ordered.

The check amount seemed wrong ($85) but we weren't given an itemized bill. We ended up $65 for 1 order of shrimp skewers, 1 kids grilled cheese, 1 chicken wrap, 1 order of cheese toast and a drink. My sister had asked for the tickets to be divided and had already given him our cards so I was already charged. Rather than wait for who knows how long to get the charge reversed and fixed, we just left. One of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We will definitely eat at Mo's again, but NOT the Mo's West location. If you want delicious food and great service, go see the folks at the Astoria, Lincoln City, Cannon Beach, or...

Worst Mo's I've ever visited. Wait staff was negligent. Food took way longer than it ever should have, due to the wait for our food we could've just driven to the Newport or Lincoln City Mo's. I specifically asked for a separate check before our table ordered, the server even wrote our food down separate- once the bill came it was all on one ticket. I asked again for a separate bill and the server gave me attitude saying, "well you should've told me that earlier." Newsflash buddy - I did! First thing I said before any of us gave our orders, specifically to avoid confusion when it came time to pay. Also our bill was grossly over charged. It was $20'more than it should've been but once the bills were separated (into two bills for a table of five people) the server neglected to give us an itemized bill to see how it came to that price. feel ripped off.

There were only four tables of customers. It was not slammed or any other reason to have such poor service. It also took 20 minutes to get our bill after we were done eating.

None of our food was brought out at the same time, and the quality of food was extremely poor. The chowder tasted old or reheated and the shrimp was hard and rubbery.

The server had to be reminded numerous times to bring us things we needed. Also, the bathroom was more gross than an interstate rest area.

I'm a huge fan of Mo's and will return as they have great food at a decent price. I just won't ever return to THIS Mo's.....if you're looking for an amazing Mo's to visit I recommend the one in Astoria. Food was delicious. Restaurant was clean. The server was the sweetest and funniest server I've ever met. Bathroom was...

Very disappointing. Went to Mo's at Otter Rock. We were so looking forward to it. I sold it to my family. All of us were looking forward to it. We get there at 5:00pm, because it's July 23rd, a Saturday! They are to be open until 6:00pm on Saturdays. I even called earlier to double check that they were open later that day. They confirmed it on the phone. We get there and we're met at the door and told "Our workers have places they want to be so we're closing early. We can do orders of already made dishes like clam chowder, but that's it." The one "in charge" was acting like she was willing to stay, but everyone else wanted to ditch out. She was more professional about it, trying to rectify the situation. Possibly she was out numbered? Don't know. You know what, I had a place to be!" Mo's on a Saturday! One of the younger female workers was so blatant while she was sweeping the foor that "she had to meet her boyfriend, soon." Whining and glaring at the few of us still there. Seriously, there are other places to go that are way better like the Chowder Bowl or Nye's Chowder. Any place but this place with their cooks, cashiers really not wanting to be there. Hope your Saturday night plans were worth it Mo's Chowder workers. If you don't like working, you better be set up rich because with work ethics like this, you may not get far. Very disappointing. Btw...clam chowder that I was raving about to my family because I had gone there years ago...it was...

Fun little restaurant that serves good value seafood options. I've eaten at the Newport location and now here at Otter Rock. I had Alaskan cod fish tacos and a cup of clam chowder. My Mom had clam chowder and a $3 skewer of shrimp. Fish tacos had a huge chunk of tasty cod in each one (3 tacos to an order), some cabbage and creamy green tomatillo sauce. Also had a side of (stewed?) tomatoes that I added into my tacos. Tacos could be improved if they had more spice, but overall they were very good. Clam chowder was creamy and had nice clam chunks in there, it too could be more heavily spiced, but was enjoyed by both of us. Service was attentive considering how busy the place was. Many tables in there seat 8 in a row, so groups of 4 might find another group of 4 sitting next to them.. I saw this Europe back in the day.. doesn't bother me but might throw some people off.. hey it's a way to meet randoms and eat faster. Overall a good experience.

The greatest advantage of this place is that you can warm up from the cold wind and sit in a cozy spot while enjoying the outside scenery. However, although MO’s Clam Chowder boasts a long tradition of being the best chowder, to be honest, it is just average. The taste varies between Newport, Florence, and other locations. The ratio of clams is not as good as when I cook at home, and instead of seasoning with the natural saltiness that comes from the main ingredients, they use more table salt, which always makes me very thirsty after having the soup. The price might seem a bit high, but considering the size and amount of the bowl, it is reasonable. With cheese bread on the side, it was enough for a lunch meal. It made me think it would be nice if they had draft beer on tap here.

Our family has been visiting the Oregon Coast and Mo's West at Otter Rock since the 80's, from WA, the Valley and as far away as Arizona! It's become a family tradition that now includes grandchildren and even a great grandchild. The last visit was very special as it was my daughter "Mo's", (short for Monique) birthday! It was a very special to meet here again as a family and share it with her teen age son, cousins and extended family! Great food, great service, amazing location and views and some of the best tide pools around as it is a preserve!! Also a very clean and sandy beach and hiking trails. It has everything! I am now a local, so am happy to be able to visit anytime! Thanks Mo's!!
