Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Orlando

My visit here was extremely disappointing. Firstly, I came in at 9:15 pm for some ice cream. The place doesn’t close till 10 pm. The side door closest to the parking was locked so we had to walk around the corner to another entrance. Fine. I can live with that.

Secondly, we walk in and are the only ones there. No other customers. The employee, by the name of Joshua I later learned, looked like he was breaking down and cleaning the coffee machine maybe? Anyway, during the first 5 minutes we were there contemplating what ice cream flavors we wanted, he didn’t even greet us or tell us someone would be with us soon. It wasn’t until a girl came out from the back and started joking with Joshua, after a minute realized there were customers, said “we’ll be with you soon” and then continues to talk to him without a care.

Thirdly, Joshua finally acknowledged us and asked us what we wanted. I asked him if they had Vanilla. He said no. We asked him if he had any other flavors and he said “we’ve got what’s here. We also have more in the back but they’ll take a minute to defrost. Like 2 hours. So I can’t serve them to you.”

This is silly for multiple reasons. I’ve worked at a restaurant that serves ice cream. When one container finished, we grabbed another right out of the freezer and used the scoop which sits in hot water, to assist in easy scooping, and serve it immediately. I was dumbfounded by the statement of “I need to defrost ice cream”. Are you kidding me? Defrost a meant-to-be-frozen item? I don’t want milk. I want ice cream.

Needless to say Joshua and the young lady who’s name a didn’t get (I think she had black hair with pink in it?) were both extremely unhelpful and I will never be returning to this location. These employees seemed more intent on closing the store half hour early than taking care of...

On 06/02/24 around 6:30 pm. I visited this Baskin Robins even after reading the only 2 reviews postings which were unflattering. Both reviews complained about the service and lack of food. Both reviews were more than a year old. One review was actually 3 years old. And both were accurate about bad service. On this day I visited wanting a banana split. Unlike the first review, they had bananas. The first employee was clueless on how to make a banana split. The second employee was equally incompetent. There was no chocolate ice cream so I settled for rocky road. The incompetent employee put a whole banana in the boat and proceeded to put the ice cream next to it. I tried to explain to him how to cut the banana length wise and place it on either side of the boat. That information went over his head. He had no skills on how to make a banana split. What training did he receive? Did he even pay attention? I’ll never go...

Showing up at 5 min to 11am I first order a banana split then told there’s no bananas after that I ordered a Sunday which the guy proceeds tonight and then get some tacos your dog is not right the guy to try to get me to take chocolate sauce instead of the fudge and tells me there’s no nuts you didn’t tells me that it’s too early for Baskin-Robbins because nothing was turned on at this time and there’s no hot culture of the toppings even though it’s almost noon Clearly this was a fault on their end Yeah very very rude male Employee who I think is the manager Wishy-washy rude gruff attitudeAnd blames it on me customer for coming to Early Boy things to change since days of coming as a kid .. save your money and your time and find another location because this one is garbage or at least the...
