I am giving them a one star because of this reasons below. 1. I ordered fried plantains, in this first picture in a small container has six fried plantains in them in which they were all squeezed in the small container. Making them not noticeable. The plantains look so soggy I couldn’t eat them. 2. I ordered jollof rice with fried chicken. Which tasted like nothing. The only thing I could taste was the oil and the spicy pepper that was used to cooked it. 3. I ordered Asun. Which I wouldn’t get the meat off the bones. But when I do I enjoyed them a little. I like spicy things that was the only thing I could taste again. I enjoy my Nigeria food but this restaurant did not pass the test. Please do not order jollof rice or egusi here because you will be disappointed. Their fried meat has no taste or their jollof rice. I dined in and ordered out also. I ate pounder yam with egusi soup with fried meat. Egusi soup was watery not spicy but has some taste to it. Please save your money and go else where. Thank you.

I have never had fufu or egusi with beef so regardless of the terrible reviews, I still really wanted to try this restaurant and judge for myself. Food took less than two minutes to come out. All I can say is that the egusi was so rich. The first bite of meat was completely packed with flavor, spicy, and salty. I have never had anything like it. The meat was not too tender, you had to bite it and I thought it was delicious. I did find fish bones in the dish while I asked for beef (I didn’t care, it’s just a disclaimer you might find little fish bones). $18.09 for the soup and fufu so the price can be kind of steep, but when you consider I didn’t have to buy any of the foreign ingredients or spend any hours making the fufu, I didn’t feel like complaining about the price, especially given how satisfied I was after finishing the entire meal. I will be coming back again for some egusi and fufu. Thank you!

I'm from Nigeria, well, I was raised there. My family is Nigerian. I mean I am too but, anyway. Let me start over. I am a Nigerian. See, that sounds better already. If you know anything about us, we love our food. Problem in Orlando is we don't have a large demographic here. When I miss home, or family in Houston, which is pretty much little Nigeria, I go here to eat some "Mama put". That's code word for home cooking by a cook at a nigerian spot, that always remind us of our mom's cooking. We tend to say "mama, put more." That is why we call them "Mama Put." Flavours is pretty much my "Mama Put". And this mama is guuud. Everytime I drive by the shop on orange Ave. Sha...na Uturn I dey make. So make una wey fit yarn my broken go, check am out. U no go disappoint.

Horrible food, horrible size!

Believe the one star review! Do not waste your time and money in this place. The only reason I ended up here was because my husband found the place and we didn’t take the time to look at the reviews!

We drove almost an hour to get here and waited for almost 40minutes to get the food. We ordered pounded yam and eforiro with chicken and two portions of yam porridge with chicken, fish and plantain.

The entire food we ordered was tasteless and disgusting!!! The portions was like it was served to a 5 year old. I had to order extra soup after being irritated with the portion of efo. I was charged about $6 for extra soup.

Then I expressed my disappointment to the young man at the front desk after I realized that they added stew to my extra soup to make it look plenty. I was so digusted and asked him why they would do that? He mentioned that his madam told him to charge me $3 for the soup instead of about $6.

We left there so irritated with the disregard for customers. This woman’s actions are pure evil and she is clearly not in the business of service!

When we arrived at our hotel we tried the food and oh my gosh!! Disgusting! No taste, very hard chicken, no crayfish or locust bean in the efo. I had never had an efo tasting that horrible in my entire life. It was simply vegetables swimming in water. I noticed a piece of bone in the extra soup that looked like it was from someone’s leftover.

The chicken seemed like it had been warmed up for days! The fish so dried and the plantain looked like it was refried over and over everyday! We had to trash the food. My gosh! Pure evil. I will never be back here again and will make sure no one I know will visit this place.

This people do not deserve to be in business! After I read the reviews, I realized they still have not taken the feedback in these reviews from years ago and still serving trash, small portions and disregarding customers. That tells you the type of people they are. Save your money and...

Horrible service and do not recommend. The lady who I believe is the owner has No interest in serving those outside their culture in my opinion. When I walked in there was a group of 7 people in front of me waiting to order. I saw a woman sitting at the table working on her laptop. After a few minutes went by that very same lady got up and went to the register and asked the group if they wanted to order. I was in shock at how she never acknowledged them as if she did not work there. Now it was my turn to order and I had a few questions. She looked very uninterested in answering my questions and looked annoyed. After paying she walked away & never gave me my change back and proceeded to the back. When I got my food I found out that I had an opportunity to choose what meat I wanted with my dish but instead of asking me she chose it for me. The gentleman who gave me my food was polite and was the only one who gave proper customer service. When he went in the back to ask about my change her response was my change was on the register as if that is a normal thing to do and I should have just retrieved my change on my own no apologies or anything. Being that this was my 1st time going to an African restaurant I was actually really excited and highly disappointed with how my experience went. I would Never visit this location again. I would rate it no stars...

I arrange tours in Orlando. I made an appointment to come in and meet with the owners and see about ordering some food for a upcoming tour. I went and man at the counter acted as if I was bothering him even after I asked for him by name and mentioned our appointment time. I am familiar with Nigerian food so I told the man what I wanted without looking at the menu. I asked the cost 3xs to make sure I understood. When I went to pay he gave me another price. When I stated that's not the price he gave me he got agitated. This was my 1st time at this restaurant and I wanted to try the food so I ordered okra soup with chicken and fufu. It was okay but the portion size too small especially for the $16.00 he charged me. I paid but left still hungry. ( I forgot to take a photo becauseI was hungry) Not only that I had to wait around for our meeting only to be told that a LARGE pan of Jollof rice that feeds 15-20 people cost $110.00 and when I questioned again how many people it fed I was told to order two. Can you imagine paying $220.00 for rice to feed 30 people? I left and headed straight to my favorite Jamaican restaurant and ordered what I needed. IMO, the food was okay but expensive compared to...
