DRUNK PATRON HIT MY BABY. This is clearly not a family friendly place.
We went for an early dinner this past week with our family and our young son. The place was not busy yet and the band had not even started playing yet but the patrons at the bar were already completely wasted.
The bartenders have a responsibility to serve alcohol responsibly but one patron was sod ar gone she could barely stand or walk without assistance. She and another drunk friend were going all around the bar and restaurant and at one point headed towards our table.
Drunk out of her mind she looked at my own year old son in a high chair and I’m assuming wanted to touch him but reached out and slapped him on the side of the face so hard she left both a red mark and a scratch on his cheek.
I was obviously shocked and concerned for my sons safety and informed the waitress and the manager right away but after the intial shock it was clear that the restaurant cared more about the drunk woman then the safety of my child.
I can assume they asked her to leave but she was still drinking with another 15 plus minutes while they cashed her table out. When she was done with her drink she took the drink of her friends and continued drinking and when they were finally “done” they continued to hang out in the parking lot.
Clearly my appetite was completely gone. I was shooken up and frustrated that they were letting her take her time. It was hard to relax knowing she was still near and still wondering the restaurant.
The manager was apologetic initially but never checked on us or my child again after I informed him of the situation. There was no action on the restaurants part to say that the safety of my child...
Read moreI am truly stunned at the good reviews I had read on this place vs. our own experience - I can only believe that it must be friends or employees writing it because the food and service was hands down one of the worst we have experienced. The atmosphere was depressing at best - all the TV's were on, but no sound and there was no music so I all you hear was talking. The service was non existent - no one said hello, smiled or offered to assist us - the waitress when we did see her seemed to not know how to multitask in the least and did not tell us about the food at all. We didn't see her often and when we did, she made no eye contact so we could not wave her down for assistance. She seemed a little out of it and had another waitress help her out most of the time we were there. The food was overprice, under cooked and had no flavor. There was absolutely no seasoning on the burger and was pan fried on a grill - I don't know how anyone would call this the best burger in town. I will go to Five Guys or Backyard Burger any day over this place. The food was also very overpriced and the burger came with nothing. You had to order fries extra. We only had two burgers with fries and sodas and an order of corn nuggets and it cost us over $30. That is what we would pay at a nice restaurant for dinner, not what I expected for a lunch price. Sadly we had high hopes on this place and had driven over 30 minutes to get here, but was very disappointed. I truly hope it is what another reviewer had put and they are transitioning to new owners and that they improve - until then, we will not recommend to...
Read moreThis place is a good place for lunch, dinner, and anything in between. It's a great place for a pit stop to grab a quick bite to eat, drink, and be merry. The menu has a variety of food options from awesome wings (I recommend the sweet thai chili), sandwiches, and burgers (they say it's the best in town), salads, plenty of appetizer options and desserts. They have half off appetizers on Tuesdays. The portion sizes are also pretty big. They also serve shots, mixed drinks or cocktails, sodas, water, and beer. Between the pub with the pool tables and an outdoor patio with tables and chairs accessible from inside the bar and outside the bar, as well as family oriented seating with tables in a separate corner of the building, to high top tables with stools along the walls as well as seating in the middle of the bar by the pool tables. There is two different areas to use the restroom, one on each side of the bar. The jukebox has a variety of music choices. Johnny's Other Side is a covered outdoor seating area for dining with larger crowds and live music as well. There is also plenty of extra parking in the back. There are always different sports, news, and live events on multiple tv's to watch from also. The pool tables are only a dollar per game, and most of the pool sticks are in great condition. Overall, this is a nice, chill environment for singles, couples, locals, and families...
