Great park. There are plenty of places to picnic and grill for parties or just a day at the park. The walking trail just goes in a circle around the park. The trees are so tall and very pretty in the morning. Workout spots are set up with workouts and stretches posted for you to use. There is an enclosed playground and there are restrooms onsite as well. Downsides: no poo bag stations for your dog so you have to bring your own. Also, it’s right next to a school so if you go there around 7:30 or 2:30 during school season, you will have a lot of high schoolers walking around.

A wonderful little park! With lots of small covered pavilions and even picnic tables in full sun, this park has a ton of trees and shade. A full bathroom by the playground and parking lot, you and your family will have a good time here. Perfect for small family get-togethers.

Very cute neighborhood park, next to Boone highschool. Great for walks, yes dogs too BUT PLEASE pick up their 💩. Very nice playground for the kiddos. Gazebos, picnic tables, & grills. BONUS: there's a bathroom.

I have been coming to this park since I was a child. That's nearly 40 years worth of visits and it's always remained the same. Obviously they've upgraded/modernized the playground equipment but they haven't added any more concrete to take away from the natural landscape in which I love. The city maintains the grounds well. I see them there at least once a week. They could visit more frequently but they're there emptying the trash bins, picking up any trash that's on the ground, the bathrooms are clean, the sidewalks/parking lot are clean, etc. I love the atmosphere here. It's always remained a favorite of mine. It's always quiet and serene during the weekdays. When in season on you can see and hear the crowd cheering for the Boone Braves games. It's a great place to take the kids! Completely covered with massive oak trees & plenty of shade. They do have a couple covered picnic/BBQ areas that are available for use. Or picnic on a smaller scale with a couple of blankets, some snacks and pick a spot in the grass. It's also a great place for walking. Regardless if you're a seasoned pro health nut or want a quiet place for a stroll, you can't...

I love the green space and my kids love the playground, but the outdoor exercise equipment is a huge miss. Clearly the municipality spent good money building it, but it borders on useless because everything is too small. I’m only 6’ which is a pretty normal height. But I can’t hang from a single pull up bar, they’re all too short. The one set of parallel bars are so short that my knees hit the ground at the bottom of a dip. What sort of park workout are you doing if you can’t do dips...
