Do not recommend this place to anyone the food was horrible drove from Jacksonville just to try it because I was passing through had a turkey wing dinner and also pork chop dinner The pork chop was dried out and needed to be recooked the turkey wings was dried out and did not have any flavor the macaroni and cheese you can see the noodles it did not have any cheese in it The gravy was spoiled had my food smelling like something had died The candy yams was dark and did not have any flavor any sugar or anything I could have went to Boston market and got a microwavable frozen meal please do not waste your money or your time it is horrible I do not understand how people can have a restaurant and play over people food and take their money and know their food is not worth it even the muffins was horrible did not have any flavor and taste like cardboard also had cakes also bad...

Went to king of Soul Food today and was EXTREMELY impressed. I am Latino- and as a native New Yorker who has lived in the Bronx and Harlem, I'd say this food by far is top notch to be here in Florida. I was totally blown by the taste and kind hospitality that was given. I had the fried chicken, white rice with black eyed peas, collards with bake Mac & cheese and their corn bread. Everything was fresh, scrumptious and very tasty. You'd never think that a front store that has soul food in it was be appealing well think again. Food was AMAZING!! I will definitely be back and take folks with me. Price and serving portion was also great. Thank you for serving the Florida area and for being part of the community. Looking forward to dining...

Went here instead of pop eyes to see if it lived up to its name. It's a little hidden depending on how you approach the stop. Service was good, however, didn't really help me understand pricing and what's available. There's no menu. Food is fast and pretty hot. Fried chicken was nice and crispy however, there are some sneaky pieces that are hard enough to chip a tooth ( if you are an aggressive eater). Mac tastes baked but not really flavorful or cheesy.
