Title: Disappointing Experience at Moe's Bar in Universal Studios
Rating: â â âââ
I recently visited Moe's Bar at Universal Studios, expecting a fun and vibrant experience reminiscent of the iconic television show. However, my experience fell far short of expectations, primarily due to the unwelcoming and unpleasant behavior of the bartender.
From the moment I approached the bar, I noticed an immediate lack of enthusiasm and hospitality. The bartender appeared disinterested and seemed to be in a perpetually bad mood. It was disheartening to see such a significant character from the show portrayed with such negativity. I believe that a friendly and engaging bartender is an essential aspect of creating a memorable experience for visitors.
Furthermore, the bartender's interactions with customers were marked by rudeness and impatience. They seemed visibly angry and frustrated, and it was evident that they did not enjoy their job. Their behavior cast a gloomy cloud over the entire experience, leaving many patrons feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
As a visitor, I believe it is crucial for any establishment within a theme park to maintain a high level of customer service and ensure a positive atmosphere. Unfortunately, Moe's Bar failed to meet these expectations. The bartender's demeanor and attitude overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable and immersive experience.
Given the overall disappointment and the unsatisfactory service, I would recommend that Universal Studios management address this issue promptly. Customers visit theme parks to escape reality and immerse themselves in a joyful environment, and encountering such a negative atmosphere can be disheartening and detract from the overall experience.
Considering my unpleasant encounter at Moe's Bar, I feel justified in requesting a refund for my ticket. While I understand that not every experience can be perfect, it is important to hold establishments accountable for providing a level of service that aligns with visitors' expectations.
I hope that Universal Studios takes this feedback into account and makes the necessary improvements to ensure that future visitors can enjoy a more positive and welcoming experience...
Read moreI learned you can sit directly at the bar and order pre-made food that's put in the cooler under the bar, versus standing in line, in the food court that's in the next room. I ordered a 'Duff beer' and a turkey wrap. The $15 wrap was horrible. looking back, I should have refused to pay for it, or at least backed it off my credit card, but, I had already took it apart it ate the single piece of turkey and cheese. But man, was it terrible... The tortilla was wet and soggy from the liquid in the tomato's and lettuce that had obviously been sitting for a while. I ended up pulling it apart and just eating the single slice of turkey with the single slice of cheese that they put into it. Listen Universal... fix this. This is an outrage and does not make your image of making a theme park very good at all (go 'secret shopper' it, if you don't believe me).
....on a side note, every bit of food we had the 2 prior days at Disney was very good. I think it's because they are a brand name and need to be darn good (which they were - albeit the 12 bucks for a darn hot dog was a turn off).
Also, the big, older guy behind the bar was kind of a jerk. He was snapping at a fellow employee. My girlfriend said it's probably part of the 'theme'. I told her I didn't think so.
So, two things need to change. The food pre-made food stored under the bar... and the bartenders attitude.
Universal, why are you f-ing up on something so...
Read moreMUST DO! This drink is expensive by my opinion, it was about $7-8, but it's one of a kind. It's fun to be in Moe's and the waitress was exceptional. I asked what everyone probably asks her, "What is a Flaming Moe"? Her answer was a spot on. It's kinda like orange Sprite. There's a tablet in the bottom part of the plastic glass (which you take home). She pulls the glass from the freezer, and pours in the Sprite-like pop. The glass is already 'smoking' when it comes out of the freezer, and when the pop is added, it bubbles. Looks VERY COOL! The glass is thin plastic, so I doubt it will last long, and the bottom/top are secured with two clear plastic stickers. It's less fizzy than normal pop, and although it looks hot, it's very cold. Fun stuff.
This restaurant is also an inlet to a BUNCH of other restaurants, like a mini-food court. You can visit Cleatus' Chicken Shack, Lisa's healthy restaurant for vegetarian options and a few others. Simpson edits of episodes that involve food are played on a loop with TVs located around the restaurant. Plenty of seating. Great spot for the family to chill and...
