Beware of scam! Worst attention I have received on a bar: I went on sunday night with my partner, and we were not greeted when we entered the bar. It was not busy either. I waited about 5 minutes on the counter to get noticed. I ordered 2 cocktails. An hour passed by, and upon departure, I noticed I was charged 4 cocktails instead of 2. When I politely mentioned this to the young bartender (mike? jake?) he suddenly changed his mood and got really upset and started raising his voice. He kept insisting that I got 4 drinks and I that I was lying, then he mentioned "you have been sitting on this bar for 4 hours, you need to pay for your 4 drinks" after a very uncomfortable scene of back and forth he said "If I refund you this, you are never gonna ask me for a drink ever again." He turned his back on me, and the manager on duty stepped in and politely helped with the refund. I felt like the young bartender was trying to take advantage of me. He insisted for minutes that I was lying. How can you treat your customers like that? And why the explosive reaction when I asked for assistance? I don't think he had forgotten that I got 2 drinks instead of 4. There was something shady going on. This is the worst attention I have ever received, and as for today, I'm still afraid for my refund, as it is still pending....
Read moreReally really wanted to like this place since it's the closest bar to me, but I had a few bad experiences that I feel I gotta share. First day was St. Paddys. It was crowded (which is fine) but then the ceiling started leaking like a waterfall right over me. Not necessarily the staff's fault, but not a great experience when ceiling water falls in your already improperly poured Guinness.
Second time was very recently where I noticed they advertised a late night happy hour on their site under events (literally the first page that pops up when you search about the bar). Had a few whiskey drinks and relaxed. Then the bill comes double what it advertised. Though the staff was nice, the only thing they said was that "Oh that's old you should have called about the specials - sorry" like it was my fault.
I'm a huge dive bar guy so I'm used to some bad conditions, but not false advertising. Staff was nice enough and I can't comment on the food. Recommend if you want a dive bar just go downtown to Slyfox and if you want cheap drinks just head up to Bar Louie or any other...
Read moreIm happy to say this place has some great food. It’s nothing to crazy, it’s not a dive but they certainly have elevated bar food. Nothing to crazy but just done exceptionally well. I don’t drink, I just go for the food. Finding a decent wing place is hard to find believe it or not. These chain restaurants are always a hit or miss and I can honestly say Nona Social has the best wings in the Lake Nona Area, and it’s not even close. Their Caesar salad has a different spin on it with the fried capers but it’s amazing. My kids love their burgers, Mac n cheese and their giant mozzarella sticks. Besides the great food the bartender is freaking awesome . Always attentive, no matter how many people he has at that bar we never have to ask for him. He just pops up at the right moment. Again this place should not be slept on. FYI I went a top culinary school and cut my teeth at some pretty well known...
