Seafood Bandits — Restaurant in Orlando

(Update below) "Bandits" is right! Worst experience I have literally ever had with a food business. For starters, it took an eternity just to place an order. They seemed extremely confused and disorganized, and their generator cut out a couple times. I was patient and thought they must be a new business. They forgot to subtract the $10 coupon I gave them before swiping my card and THEN telling me the total. I was told I would get my card refunded. After that was deducted, they told me a price that was still different than posted on their menu. For a second they told me the correct price, then added a few dollars. Seemed like a lot for tax but I was tired of how long it was taking and said ok. Then she gave me the total with tax. I let it go and let them swipe my card again.

Luckily I checked the food because they didn't give me the side of seafood rice I paid extra for, which tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. The conch was overcooked. The shrimp was good though.

The charge ended up posting on my card, so I called the business about a refund. They never once called back to update me, I had to call them every time. After the third call, I was told the refund "wouldn't process" and I was offered a credit at the truck. My apartment complex had invited the truck to our building, the food wasn't good, I didn't know where the truck normally was, and I only ate there because I had the coupon from my complex, so obviously I told them that was not acceptable and that I wanted a refund. I offered to give them my credit card info to make sure it was correct. After the 5th or 6th call, they offered to give my refund through a 3rd party app. They wanted to use Zelle and we agreed on Cash App because they didn't have Venmo or PayPal(??). They said it would be processed the following week since I was calling on a Saturday. It's now Friday, I still haven't gotten my refund, and when I called today they didn't answer the phone.

UPDATE: after posting this I finally had my refund sent to me the same evening. I'm told the person that was in charge of the truck that evening was fired and was also offered a free order...

The bandit baby is enough to eat twice; conveniently it comes in a resealable bag so that you can enjoy it later while the fresh quality remains!

I’ve had the shrimp tacos numerous times and the shrimp holds a nice balance with the toppings and sauce.

One of my favs is the wings 😛 phenomenal wings are hard to come by and these stand out. They have a smoky flavor and they fall off the bone omfg 🤤 my mouth is literally watering writing this review.

If what you order doesn’t include conch—be sure to include it. It is SO worth it. I’m not much of a hush puppy person but I tear their hush puppies up!! The fries have a nice seasoning and the bandit sauce is Fireeeeee. Love the distinct flavor it has. Listen when I tell you you won’t regret it. First I must say the customer service was excellent. Nice and friendly no shade. The fried food was amazing. The fish and shirmp was seasoned to perfection. Fish nice and flakey. Shrimp cooked just like I like them. Like I cooked it at home. The fried food is a yes for me!! That seafood boil I had was not what I expected. Due to the reviews. I had the Bandit baby which comes with 1 snow cluster which taste like it was spoiled, the corn was not cooked it seemed to be frozen slightly, I don't recall seeing an egg in bag at all. But sausage that wasn't mentioned. The shrimp were really jumbo but something tasted off. The famous butter sauce really wasn't good and it had way too much fresh garlic. I would have taken it back but they were close to closing when I ordered. I am willing to give them another shot when I'm in the area. I love supporting my black...
